Mark, you should get checked out at a medical centre if you are having any discomfort breathing/pain as you may have broken a rib and these can have complications.

Looks like one of the ' Clangers ' If they had to board and paint buildings like the one you pointed to, in the UK. A few years from now it would be the biggest industry in UK ! I thought Rocket Man Mark just scraped his arm . Sorry to hear he damaged his ribs . Not very pleasant and takes a long time to heal ! You might seriously consider wearing one of those upper torso protectors as motorcycle high shops dictate ! I enquired re highing a low cc one and they stipulated armoured jacket or upper skeletal protector ! At first thought a wind up ,but no ! We never used anything like that on a road motorbike before ! Lovely to see the less touristy areas of Portugal. Mark - sore ribs are very painful but don’t be scared to cough properly if you need to (brace your back against a cushion first) or you could end up with breathing complications. Best wishes from Cornwall. x

Pop into a filling station and buy a little mozzy burner that plugs into your cigarette lighter socket. It comes with little tablets that you put into the burner and you will be mozzy free all night. I used to drive to Spain and Portugal in the 80's as a truck driver. The little mozzy burner was an absolute lifesaver. Very cheap too. Get one, Chico will love you for it.

We get the same Yorkshire tea here in Grand Cayman in the Caribbean as well as a lot of other English produce from Waitrose . We are affiliated with UK and its regularly flown in on the BA flights. Yorkshire tea with a sausage roll , and Branston pickle in 90 degrees heat , along with the Mozzies . Although the Mozzie plane helps to keep the numbers down. Get yourself some aloe gell after sun and keep it in the fridge, its wonderful for hot itchy skin xxx

"Metal Mickey" is a cataplana its a special pan to make a seafood dish. The Algarve is a big region for tourists and anywhere you have a view of the sea or a river is priced for them. Many restaurants close in winter altogether so they have to make enough money in the season to last the year. The most famous place to eat Cuttlefish is Setubal so perhaps you can go that next time.

Wish you well Mark. Its quite normal for entertainment to start at 10pm due to the heat. Not sure in Portugal but books in Spain are treasured. Remember that it was only 1975 when Franco went. Then they got schools and health care and many other things as well. Thats why books are precious. In days gone past they had nothing. Just love Chico by the way. Our Yorkie yesterday swallowed a fish hook. Big rush to 24hr vet. One huge bill later we got our boy back. All sorted but very frightening. Carry on enjoying. By the way this is the hottest summer ever here in Spain.

Oh Mark, ribs broken are the worst. My partner thought he would surprise me and put up Christmas Lights up outside a couple of years ago. He fell off the ladder but fell on it and broke 4 ribs . Came in and said think Ive hurt myself. Off to A & E . He was kept in as he had fluid that had to be drained. Hes not allowed to go up a ladder without me holding it !!

No,no,no. Can't use mozzy spray in motor home,think about poor Chicco.Rub all over with garlic clove,won't stop the mozzies but you'll put Mark on the back burner for a while.😂... While his ribs heal at least.Fantastic vlogs and drone footage now you're full time👍👍

You do realise the spray would settle on furniture/floors etc.!!Also if sprayed when van is empty the vapour would linger and be inhaled on return.Never,never spray chemicals where pets live it can be deadly, not to mention carbonic.
