Just two guys from opposite sides of the globe and vastly different cultures stranded in a mountain snow storm and working together to solve the problem, all while having fun and getting along great the entire time. It's almost like we might not be as different as the media wants us to believe... Also, Roy made it to his flight on time, and as soon as he got home he made a $500 donation to www.thegivingplate.org Thank you Roy!! And for those wondering how to watch it in Chinese, go to the settings icon ⚙️ on the video, usually at the top or bottom, then click “audio track” and select either English or Chinese. Since I am unable to QC the Chinese version, I’m sure it is hilariously bad. But the fact that Roy the Chinese guy is trying to talk in English and then being dubbed back into poorly translated Chinese just makes it even better 😂

There was a lesson in here in case anyone missed it ... since this is a lightweight vehicle, you use the smaller rope. When doing a dynamic recovery like this, bigger is not always better. You have to size the rope to the weight of the vehicle being recovered. You can adjust your throttle position to the weight of the vehicle doing the recovery. Consult the rope manufacturer for the correct size rope for your application.
@Psyco91314 күн бұрын
Ideally you would size the rope to the lightest vehicle in the recovery, whether that's the vehicle being recovered or the vehicle doing the recovery. The force you can generate is going to be determined by the lightest vehicle. For instance, if Casey was trying to recover a bus with the Blazer (obviously not an ideal situation) it wouldn't help any to use a big rope sized for the bus if the Blazer can't generate the force necessary to stretch it. Yes, more speed gives you more force, but there's a point of diminishing returns where you're just increasing the likelihood of doing damage to the recovery vehicle and you should be switching to a winch or some other safer option. You're absolutely right though that it's important to size the rope to the recovery so that it can perform the way it's designed to.

I only have a Ssangyong Musso but it’s a 4WD and it’s got good torque being a turbo diesel. Also I don’t have all the towing equipment that you have. Just a big strong nylon webbing strap. I should get some more having seen your equipment but since I do it for free I can’t afford to buy stuff unless I need it for myself.

Casey, there aren’t many channels that I have found consistently enjoyable, but yours is one that I have. Not only did you tow this guy out for free, you then took the time to dub this into his language so he can share it with his family. What a gift you are to this world. ❤

Wow!!! You are one awesome guy!!! You kept saying what great mood he was in the whole time (which he was) but you were ALSO in a great mood! Stellar!!! Laying in the snow hooking him up. Spending all that time and not charging him. I wish the world was full of people like you!!! It would be a great place!!!! ❤❤❤
