That independent brake was on holding you in position while on the hill just like at the very start. I reference the bottom right as the actual physical changing is not always spot on. Good luck

Aaah, my own fault then! Thank you for pointing that out! I'll have to keep an eye on it.

ROFL! I was literally yelling at the screen, "Your Engine brake is ON!!!" ...As if you could actually hear me, LOL. Yes, I know this was posted a few months ago and you likely have this sorted by now, still couldn't resist ribbing you a little. :)

I did figure it out, yes. I would blame it on stupidity, however I think I could blame it on now knowing American locomotives (as I have had this issue before in other sims with American locomotives!). Yelling at the screen is good for your health!

I can't disagree with you about the unfamiliarity with US locomotives. I understand completely. It was a different feeling for me the first time I got on a British locomotive as well. But I do love the old Deltics, Class 37's and the Class 40's. Those old English Electrics could really put on a great smoke show! ..And there is nothing that sounds even close to the Deltics! Pity I will never experience one of those beasts in real life. Yelling at the screen may be good for one's health, but the neighbors may begin to question one's sanity should it happen too often, LOL. Good show all the same. you have earned a new subscriber. :)

Thank you so much for subscribing. And if you want to hear a sound that compares to a Class 55, listen to a Class 43 with a Valenta engine. That is a sound I grew up with, and it was the most brutal sound I have ever heard on a locomotive.
