Damn, this video got me in all kinds of ways. Love the first knife you showed, looks like an antique heirloom item. Then on to the purple duo, a super modern take on the design. And finally that music kicked in and I got lost completely. Thanks Tim, made my day :)

DarkWolfeKnives Thanks! I will have to do that sometime. I just bend in a vise around a piece of blade steel.

You are an inspiring man, especially for a young knife maker like me. I've watched most of your vids, some multiple times. Thank you for making videos that anyone, anywhere can see. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Can't beat Louis Armstrong's St. James Infirmary. ( but I'm bias. I play the trumpet)

Ahh so glad to see them all together in one vid :) Those look way too fun to make, and fast "enough" to not get bored getting stuck on one aspect of one of them trying to get perfect that ya can't quite get it done (cough, cough :-/ ) lol You really have been an inspiration to me lately (and of couse since I've "met" you) and like I said before it's so nice ta see you really get a good stretch of time to put into making knives! :) Today the first time in a long time now (a year?) that I went out and forged out some steel. Well, I flattened some 3/4" round wrought iron and some 7/8" round W2.. It's really hard to do without tongs (still using the same smalll pliers lol) and without a proper anvil properly mounted at the correct height, but I think I'll be fixin that soon here by setting up a proper post anvil :) I'm looking forward to see what you come up with next brother, take care! :)

Tim do you have an email I could send you some pictures? My ability only needs direction. I've watched your videos more times than my daughter watched Disney's Frozen. Over the winter I've made full custom knives by hand, finished blanks I had cut, and am having a small production run of knives of my design. It's been a long winter and all these blades will he heat treated at one time. I've learned so much and want to try so much. You are an inspiration, and a true leader. I've noticed your hobbies over Lap your personal business. If I needed a professional business coach it would be a short list! Your ability to explain and detail steps are just awesome and refreshing. Thanks for all you do for people looking for a hobbie to decompress from the daily riggers of life.
@knifenforge9 жыл бұрын
so, you just pound the copper around the blade stock and grind enough off to fit washers?
@SugarcreekForge9 жыл бұрын
knifenforge I first bend the blank and then cut the pattern out from there. I just use a piece of blank steel that is the size I want to use.
