We like animals so we always do the walk through attractions to see the gorillas and the tigers. We also like the safari ride. If you need to cool off in some a/c, go watch the festival of the Lion King show.

They used to have a scavenger hunt where you pay $7 and get a map and go hunt down things in Africa and you got magnets. Ask at a gift shop in Africa if they still have it. It made us slow down and appreciate all the details.

The Crocs you got are a type of Crocs called Crocbands. They're definitely not as soft as regular Crocs. They're actually pretty hard. Just so you know. I believe Jacob the Carpetbagger wears the Classic Clogs.

I came here to tell him the same thing. He would probably be happier with the ones that have the holes all the way around it including in the toes. Much more comfortable especially if your feet get wet.

I actually was curious to know if they were actually name brand Crocs?? They look like the "Crocsband" line, but I can't make out the logo that should be at the base of the straps. If they are knock-off Crocs, they won't be as comfortable. Real Crocs are made from a patented polymer that only they use. I hope Adam didn't get ripped off from one of those I-Drive gift shops... there are plenty of knock-offs out there.

That water ride is the design of my cousin! He first deployed it at heritage USA then he put it in circus circus the new part under the pink glass. Mikey had a sense of humor. He made you think you could steer that round tube NO! Fun video:)

@@TanyaOsterman-hw9wv he actually was the contractor and he built that so when it was brand new which include the dinosaur exhibit as well as the Whitewater rapid round inner tube thing I know that there's an actual technical term. He retired after that. He's gone now but every time a park puts that in his widow gets paid.

Grizzly River Run is a way superior raft ride over Kali Rapids. My only gripe with GRR is the lack of animatronics, but other then that, I love that ride.

Popeye’s and Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges blows both of these away . You will not come off this ride dry unless you prepare

My husband and I went to Islands of Adventure for our 15th wedding anniversary ( 19 yrs ago), we rode the Popeye raft ride 15 times back to back. We were dripping all the way to the parking lot. 😆 best anniversary ever! ❤️

I Love Animal Kingdom. Was there in 98 when it opened and it's always been special to me. I've still got a T-shirt even. I've always heard Walts words about the trees growing and it getting more beautiful each year. Very applicable to AK. Will always be a favourite. Hear me out: - First, it’s good that safety systems are working properly and preventing issues/injuries 🙌 - Second, you wait so long in line to get on a ride, I appreciate being able to spend more time on the ride itself even if it’s not moving - Third you get time to relax and take in all the beautiful scenery around you, soak up the theming🙌

Wool socks could be an option for you. They are nice socks to wear when you know they are going to get wet. They make summer styles that aren't hot :)

We were at DW last week as well and yes, it was a zoo. My daughter's DAS pass was the only thing that saved us having a miserable time. We ended up having a ton of fun. My 8 year old is all about characters and they had plenty out, including Russell and Dug from Up which we were told just got brought back. We made sure to ride Dinosaur since it was likely our last time before they tear it down. It's horribly outdated and falling apart, but still fun to ride.

I have never been to this particular park (yet) but it looks so great. The theme-ing of it kind of reminds me of your "Indiana Jones Adventure Day". Which is hard to top. Now if Adventure Land only gave out Tiki-necklaces, there's a scavange waiting to happen! Although the exclusive magnet that they used to give out and might still, if they still have the scavenger hunt might be worth it too! It would also probably make a cool vid.

The storyline for Kali is about the deforestation of the Rainforest . Grizzly River Rapids at DCA is much longer ride.

If you are going to start doing Animal Kingdom more, I definitely suggest trying more of the dinning locations there...The Yak and Yeti and Mr. Kamal's for the seasoned fries among others!

I do crocks when I go to the parks and wear socks because when I don’t wear them I get blisters. If I decide to hit up a water ride I just take my socks off and then once the ride is over I grab some napkins, wipe out the inside of the crocks, it dries them out like 95% of the way, throw my socks back on and I’m good to go. They’re convenient but I agree with you that I wish they were a little more comfortable.

You need to try this another day when spring break is over. Wear socks, take them off for KRR, when done dry crocs with paper towels, replace socks, done.

Animal Kingdom is underrated. But it's also huge and always *HOT*! I remember going for a soft-open back when Dinosaur was called "Countdown to Extinction." It was even rougher then. And Dinoland USA... Ugh. Probably the worst themed land. I wish they would make it more of a Dino Jungle. Everest is cool, but I wonder... does it go upside-down when it goes backwards? The Tree of Life is amazing with all the animal designs and the theming is great. Yep, gotta go more often.

Dinoland was supposed to be county fair/Rt 66 theming. My kids liked it when they were little. Yeah, it doesn't go along with the rest of AK, but if you ever go to meteor crater in AZ, you will understand.

About your Crocs - I have had many pairs and styles of them, front he ones like you have to canvas “Vans” type ones they no longer make. One work of warning: Once the soles wear down they become very slippery on wet or slick surfaces. They make look good, but that’s the time to toss them out. Ask Jacob!

My first time going to Disney was in my 30s. I went with my daughter's high school band. She marched in Epcot. She later did the Disney College Program and a cast member for a year after that. I really like AK. Despite all my adult visits, I have yet to see Pandora at night. Maybe this year. Try Teva sandals. I love mine.

Croc Pro Trick ~ Wear socks, but take them off in the water rides, then get some napkins and dry them off after the ride and put your socks back on! Great to see the ride, we didn't go on it 20 years ago cause it was winter and we only had tennies on!

When we come from the uk we love going on kali river rapids -always get soaked but try to dress in easy dry shorts & t shirts and in the heat you dry quick - usually take a change of socks though!
