Come on man! The Studebaker 289 was a COMPLETELY different engine design from the Ford 289 and had been around in Studebakers since 1957! I had a 289 powered 1957 silver hawk and a 289 powered 1958 Golden hawk with the supercharger and that is the same engine in the Larks!
