Tried to do the ?? Zekvir on my frost mage but can't get lower than 80%. Spittle and regenerating carapace is still too frequent for the counterspell even with utilizing the cooldown reduction of shifting power and relying on Brann to cleanse or help with interrupt is not an option as he is very inconsistent. Also tested casting alter time before getting the debuff then going back with it and it didn't remove it. So it's impossible with mage as of now :(

Not impossible at all, I see a few mages running around with the mount. Xaryu did it undergeared even...

@@Kancerous Xaryu did it when Brann was basically tanking before the hotfix. I saw one mage in a facebook group today i'll ask him, but probably they had good rng with brann's interrupts and cleansing.

@Bowiee9 If you don't have the dps to burst the cocoon, stay near the entrance and line of sight the web attack so you can still interrupt the spittle attack. That's the main issue I think but them increasing the cast time should have helped.

@@Kancerous So what i missed was the talent on the left side: energized barriers, so when i get the debuff the ice barrier takes it off. I got him down to 52% after this but with my dps the second phase is a lot of struggle, even getting to the first a lot of focus needed and practice because bad positioning is an end for an attempt. At least it's a challenging boss.

I was trying this last night and I found it still impossible. At MOST when I played as best as I could (615 ilvl) I only got him to ~64%. As a warlock (Aff) I can't tank, interrupt, and cleanse everything since everything depends on my pet. Taking too much damage from melee hits? Void walker pet: but I can't interrupt. Need to interrupt? Felhunter pet: but I'm face tanking Zekvir, and my interrupt CD is too long to get everything (heal & spittle + potentially the add cast if I don't kill the egg). And there's no point in taking cleanse with Imp because I need kicks. My burst damage for the spider egg was barely enough when using Soul Rot since I have to dodge frontals/AoEs and interrupt my casts often. Even using Soulburn with Demonic Circle to negate the spittle casts doesn't give you enough time to recast it again. I would have ~3 seconds left on my demonic circle teleport when I got hit with the next spittle and would just fall over.

What level is brann and did you try him as heal?

@@chrisgore9908 My brann is level 38 I think? around there. And I kept him as DPS. I could try him as a healer but I feel that in that case the spider eggs will definitely hatch. My main issue is the amount of interrupts that are required.

ya but you can't even get in if you havent finished a tier 7 i think. I'm stuck at ilvl 585 can't craft to expensive, RNG is getting in the way, and don't want to grp or can't grp cause of the elites/toxic players. so I can't even get to start the delvers season and fill up the bar. Believe me in the delves i've tried diff ways and diff toons and tier6 is where i am stuck. There should not be a lockout/gate/whatever to make progress on the delvers season bar, we should be able to at least complete a few notches. Oh well guess im just preachin to the choir....
