At the beginning of this video, you refer to FAFSA as the “Federal Application for Free Student Aid”. It’s actually the “Free Application for Federal Student Aid”.

We are aware - just a slip of the tongue that couldn't be edited out. We have a whole FAFSA playlist that talks more about the FAFSA in depth - kzbin.info/aero/PLVcBKtNXM5eNH57p5q3BXemuKjd9GJcfz

My daughter is a junior and receiving survivor ls benefits. Father passed away 2023. She will stop receiving her benefits when she graduates. I just became disabled and I am on ssdi started receiving this year. None of it is warned income. How will this affect us to receive financial aid?? Thank you for your videos.

FAFSA considers all income reported on the tax return since all students and parents need to use the Data Retrieval Tool to import their tax return information. If your SSDI is not reported on the tax return, it will not be considered for FAFSA purposes.

Now 2024-2025 Fasfa will open December 1st.

Originally they said it would be staggered, but they announced in not too long ago that the 2025-2026 FAFSA would again open in December. Hopefully they'll resume the October 1st date in later years!
