The dad crying really hit me... the realization that he is his son’s hero vs. the realization that he can’t protect his son from the cruelness of this world.

Right! I felt that! He broke down because he knows his son just isn’t completely aware of that fear 😢

This hit me hard. When a man cries, you know the feelings are definitely real. Not to downplay a woman, but men are usually strong and they don't display their feelings, let alone, cry. Especially in public.

I think his parents deserve some focus though. They're the argument against all these gun nuts saying they teach their kids how to be responsible and then buy them guns as fucking gifts.

@UCv0UyNMpagH0t6qjLg9F6dQ fr dude it's the kids fault 100% the parents could've done a better job but its the kids fault. Another person desribed him as always depressed and I'm pretty sure he's been bullied and the school system does nothing when you're getting bullied.

When the reporter asked him why he called his father. Is it because he’s your hero and he replied yes and his father broke down is when I lost it. It’s so incredibly insane for children to have to deal with this type of trauma. America has got to do better.

Hi guys I hope youll read this and open your heart.. So, I remember my fears of death. However, I saw that the 10 commandments are God's law. As most people know, we all have broken them. I realized at a time, that I had lied, which made me a liar. I had stolen, which made me a thief. I had blasphemed God's name and used it as a curse word. The God who gave me life and created my DNA, I disrespected immensely with blasphemy. I thought I hadn't committed adultery. But Jesus said that even looking with lust is adultery with the heart in Jesus eyes. So wow, I was also an adulterer. I realized, if God judged me by the 10 commandments, I would be guilty. What about you? Have you broken God's law too? I thought since I was a supposedly "good person" I would go to heaven. But the bible says, "Most men will proclaim each his own goodness" meaning we all can defend our goodness. "I'm not as bad as that person! Well look at hitler! I give homeless people money"!But see, that wouldn't work in a court of law. If a man committed a crime like murder and tells the judge "Judge, yes I'm guilty, but I'm a good person. I help my family, I donate to charity, and I'll do better!" If the judge is a good judge, would he let the criminal go? No. He would say "I'm judging your crime not your good works. And of course you should do those things and of course you should be better. You're going to jail!" Well God is a perfect judge. He is just and the only righteous and holy being. He also not only knows our crimes, but our thoughts and hearts. So I would be guilty and deserve hell because its either be with God (goodness comes from God so heaven) or be an enemy to good and be separated from Him and all good (hell). But, He sent His only begotten son to die on the cross bcuz he's also merciful. But you may not know this: The 10 commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke the law, Jesus paid our fine. Thats why when He died, he cried out "it is finished!" Meaning the debt had been paid for us to accept. And He died then rose again and defeated death and what you have to do to receive reconciliation is to have your heart changed. We cant do that, we arent God. But He can do that. Seek Him and ask for reconciliation. He loves you. Most of us are like a person standing at the edge of a plane and we know we have to jump. And this is our plan: we'll flap our arms and save ourselves. Don't do that! Trust the parachute! Truly truly seeking God for reconciliation is belief because its believing He can answer. We cant give sin up but God will handle it if you seek reconciliation. Be humble and ask for His mercy. Once you truly do this, God will grant you everlasting life in heaven with Him as your father! And He will also give you a brand new heart that desires righteousness because of your faith. That is being born again. You will know you have been saved and that Jesus is your savior💕

People need to stop handing guns to this killer and to the Kyles of the world. It will end when the legislators start to care about the lives of people more than the grift they are getting from the NRA. Semi and automatic weapons should be F-ing banned from civilian possession. What ever these gun-nut-jobs think they are arming themselves against.. hasn't happened.. and in the meantime thousands of Americans have lost their lives to gun violence. The GOP legislators have prevented any progress on this travesty and the blood is on their hands. They love MONEY, POWER AND GUNS and F THE CITIZENS WHO DIED. That is, in essence, what they are saying.

I don't want to create controversy, since I'm aware of how sensitive the topic of the constitutional right to bear arms in the US. Just one question though... Why doesn't the US government put an age restriction on gun ownership? The logic behind this is obvious. Teens under a certain age are not allowed to drive a motor vehicle... and it makes sense. Guns and cars are both lethal. It's so so tragic to see this happening EVERY TIME... and I wreck my brain trying to think of ways to avoid the next one.

One time someone dropped a heavy textbook in the hallway and the whole classroom went still thinking it was a gun shot. I remember something like this happening when I was in 9th grade. My health teacher had the door open and during class we hear three loud bangs go off in succession and then another three a few seconds later. We all went quiet, and our teacher poked his head out the door to see what it was. Turns out it was just a hammer, but it still scared the shit out of us, especially since our school was having problems with threats and lock downs at the time.

Hi I hope youll read this and open your heart..

I am glad to see that these two men can cry in front of each other. Too many men are raised to think that expressing sorrow and pain in the form of crying is weak. My father raised me that way. I decided to break that cycle with my son who is now 24 years old. I let him know very early on that it is not weak to cry, and is healthy and normal. I am crying now for the lives that were lost in this tragedy, and for this families pain. I can't imagine sending your child off to school, and waiting for them to come home, only to find out that they won't ever be coming home again. My heart is broken for all those affected by this tragedy. I only have one question to ask. Where did the 15 year old shooter get access to a handgun? I am a responsible gun owner, have had them my entire life, and taught my son how to use them very early on in life. All of my fire arms are secured in a gun safe accessible only by me. Parents who allow their kids access to firearms with this being the end result need to be charged with a crime as well as their child. Edit: I see the parents bought the kid a gun and are now being hunted by the authorities. I hope they all go to jail for a very long time. This was totally preventable. Couldn’t agree more on the stigma that crying as a male carries as well as teaching your children from a young age the importance of respecting a fireman to the upmost while also practicing what you preach and showing that same level of respect and responsibility when it comes to storing guns in the home. Even with the knowledge there should never be a scenario where a minor could grab a firearm unsupervised, if it happens your failing as a parent, a gun owner, and a decent human being.

You shouldn't have to fear going to school, but when you have a cowardly party on the Right beholden to the NRA who are pro life, watching crazy kids take the lives of children of all ages & not even discuss common sense gun laws to protect kids like yourself is irrational, you deserve better, be safe & always be aware of your surroundings, stay strong sweetie!

It’s crazy how strong emotions really are. These people are complete strangers to me and to a majority of people watching this video, but when you see somebody break down like that? It’s something really tough to watch man, it’s heart wrenching. You lose out that idea of them being strangers and you feel like you’ve know that person your whole like and you just want to comfort and console them. This was some really hard stuff to watch, especially coming from a KZbin video. 🕊 May those who lost their lives rest and peace 🕊 and condolences to the families 💔
