I'd like to know if this "discovery" was tested on patients , and how much aratiles do you have to eat to "cure" diabetes.

Of course it wasn't tested on patients. There is a long process of testing and retesting, not to mention all the bureaucracy to go through, before anything can be approved for human studies. It will be years before it reaches that point, if ever.

I remember eating aratelis and having blood in my stool. That was 40 years ago seeing the same happened to my friend. We used to picked my neighbors aratelis (tree berry in English). So, watch out! If this fruit can be used to cure some diseases but damaged some tissue too, just be aware.
