You can find on KZbin an actual working lightsaber. It's based on a plasma blade, originally set up with pressurized gases from a tank as a proto-saber. They now have a working prototype that is fully encased within the handle.

Engineering is not boring, but get a degree in engineering is definitely hard. I earned a BS Aeronautical Engineering in 1986. I’ve had a great career. But I’m excited when I think about what this young generation is going to bring to the world. The future is bright with young professionals like these 3.

I know this is odd to say but thanks for your service. A BS in Aeronautical engineering is insane bro. Even if you were slightly limited to the tech of your time. I agree though! I’m Gen Z so I’m v excited for all my generations engineers. I was lucky to be born into a generation where technology has just been becoming so advanced and at such a fast and steady pace. Tech from 2000 to 2010 was good but slow, but 2010 to 2024 tech has just increased in advancements exponentially.

Awesome man! I'm working towards getting a BS in Aerospace Engineering myself! But first, I'm getting a UAS certificate, Software Development Degree, Airframe Maintenance Certificate, then BS in Aerospace but specifically in Astronautical Engineering, then probably take the United Aviate private pilot's course so I can get a Pilot’s license.

It’s like the one Disney made but sturdier. They added support to the “blade” so it didn’t bend while swinging. That’s pretty cool. They just need to make the mechanism quicker.

@@lawrencewong4347 I meant that this one LOOKS much more like a lightsaber without any function while the Hacksmith one is more about the cutting part and doesn’t really have a “blade” as much as it’s just basically a blowtorch. I don’t think either one is truly satisfying, but they’re exploring interesting possibilities.
@darkceptor44
@darkceptor44 3 ай бұрын
@@Headlock123456789 A lightsaber IS a blowtorch, the lore one is just a crystal getting excited like gas does by electricity and insanely hotter (we're probably talking over 8000-9000K), so hot that it heats things up so fast that most materials don't show resistance to it, which is why it doesn't look like a blowtorch at that point, the blade of course doesn't make any actual sense because it's the fantasy part of SW.

There's some sad commenters in this comment section. I wonder if it's a Boston thing specifically, because I have seen other news stations from elsewhere release good natured fluff pieces to much more positive reactions. These kids are using their skills to make fun props, that is how you learn at that age. Learn by doing something you enjoy, then once you know how to do it you can begin earning money with the skills.
