@sameerakiri trump left a huge mess - hundreds of thousands of people dead, a virus that was out of control, no infrastructure to disseminate the vaccines, over 10M+ jobs lost, inflation was beginning to explode, crime was way up, border crossings were up. Biden/Harris had to get the pandemic under control, restore all of the lost jobs, and ensure the economy did Not slide into a deep recession. The US economic recovery is the best in the world among advanced economies including significantly lower inflation (currently sitting at 2.5%, which is consistent with pre-pandemic levels). Biden/Harris got both unemployment and violent crime down to 50-year lows. They passed historic legislation for infrastructure, expanding healthcare access, climate mitigation and an expansion of chip and domestic manufacturing...all in 3.5 years. MVP Harris is talking about addressing affordability issues and restoring broader access to the American Dream bc 40+ years of GOP trickle-down economics has gutted the middle-classes. Trump had 4 years and accomplished absolutely nothing except a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans and large corporations. He promised a great, big wall to end the border crisis, he promised to pass an infrastructure bill, he promised to replace the ACA with a much better healthcare plan - he failed to deliver on all of the above!

I'm not from the US and I'm not that in tune with what's going on, but my two cents from watching the debate are that Kamala was focused mainly on attacking Trump, the few times she had a speech outside of him it seemed very populist, the stereotypical political propaganda of 'everything will get magically better' even though she could already do those things since her party is in office? The contradictions between the two indicate at least one of them was lying intensely, now I don't know who because I didn't know most of the things they talked about, but I do know the border in the US is a problem right now, I have family members who a few months ago got in illegally no problem, just walked through. That's kind of the only thing I know for a fact and since Trump remarked it a few times and Kamala never dared to even address it I choose to believe she is the one lying. I could be wrong of course, and the only thing I liked about Kamala was her specific proposal of tax deduction, but not her ideas of giving away money to some groups just because, that seemed a desperate way to try and buy her way into congress. Finally Trump was very poor in his plan exposition, he did say a few general things that are very important, but didn't go into any details, not even hows. In his defense (and Kamala's too), the dynamic of the debate barely gave him any time to thoroughly expose, added to the fact that the moderators oddly took part and side in the debate.. Overall I believe Trump won and I hope the dynamics of the next event (if there is one) are different, with unbiased moderators that don't participate in the debate and more time for each candidate to expose and talk their arguments and counter-arguments properly, and to stop with the lies and come forth with their plans, the best idea will win...

As someone who lives in America. And knows about what's going on though not everything. Yes the border has been a problem for decades as I used to live in the South Texas. I do believe people should have a better life but I also believe in background checks. Cuz if you look into places like New York City homelessness has been a problem I'm that apart the mayor is doing nothing about. Drug games from Venezuela has started appearing in some states. And in places like California and Texas that are very overpopulated estates inflation has been a big problem because of it. We've been dealing with the drug Mafia for decades and nobody wants to do anything about it.

As someone who has eyes and ears : 1) she ate him UP. 2) she never personally attacked him. Everything was based on answering the questions nor rebutting his insanity. 3) the hosts were more than generous. Trump took more than his fair share of time. About 9 minutes more. He got fact checked when he lied. Which was plenty!

@@Regu269 Yea but as I said I don't know anything about those topics really, I'm not informed, and it seemed weird to me that the moderators would fact check at all, I had never seen that in political debates, it seemed a bit suspicious so I didn't necessarily take it as true, I think they never corrected Harris so either she didn't say anything wrong or the mods were biased
