What most people don't realize is, not all experts/pro's can teach their craft, it takes someone that has broken themselves down, time & time again down to basics, that can see & explain what others need to do to get better. Although I was an expert mogul skier in my early teens and did some mid-west mogul tours, I didn't know how to break down someone's faults and teach them correctly. It wasn't until I was hired as a Ski Instructor and had to go through nightly Clinics where I was humbled real quick when shown my own flaws. Them breaking me down to basic "Pizza"/"French Fries" and so on then moving on from there, is where I started to learn how to teach. My skiing improved dramatically over the years & here I thought I ski'd perfectly before. My hats off to AJ, Jett, Hunter & all the others doing these academies for people of all ages.

You can see at 9:43 her elbows aren't up. I used to have a huge problem with this and only through yelling and punishments (which I DON'T agree with) did it get better. Any tips on how to enforce that proper elbow position in a way that doesn't feel condescending?

What’s up AJ! I have a question. I’m wanting to put my kiddo in your class FEB 3rd . He rides a 50cc. Do you train them that small ?
@chrymix3179 Жыл бұрын
one thing I've never been able to comprehend is how the front brake helps keep the bike leaned over in a rut?
@benholmquist1148 Жыл бұрын
Well if acceleration stands the bike up, slowing down will lean it over, also - brings the weight to the front so itll turn more
@6ixgun Жыл бұрын
When you use the front brake, it compresses the suspension further into the ground, which pushes the front wheel into the rut and makes it easier to turn
@christopherweltmer4227 Жыл бұрын
You also don’t really just pull it, you basically drag it lightly.

@AjCatanzaro Жыл бұрын
When you stand your head needs to be far forward. When you sit your upper body should be more straight up & down 👍🏼
