A radiator or heat sink actually makes a lot of sense in space! In a vacuum, you need a radiator to get rid of heat without air (The ISS has several radiators), and on Mars, the air is so cold that the rovers need a heater to keep their internals running properly!

Radiators are actually a very important thing in space. A lot of those "Solar Panels" we see are actually there to dissipate heat. Think about it, where is it supposed to go otherwise, right?

On the Radiator/Heat sync... yes it matters in space, yes in space it is very cold but contrary to what movies depict you won't freeze instantaneously rather it would take atleast a full day for your whole body to lose all it's heat and you freeze. In space it is not easy to lose heat especially on machinery and electrical equipment that will build up heat as they function so a outlet of heat is pretty realistic and necessary because electronics function at their best when colder. If you look on space stations they have these massive radiator panels extending out from the hull so that the station can dispell as much heat as possible and maintain a acceptable temperature
