I think it was revenge of the fallen there were a autobot and decepticon version so I think it would be cool if you would mention them at some point.

I don't entirely agree because there are merits to a figure of a Transformers character not transforming, but I do agree that the large majorty of Transformers fans and collectors (me included) are most interested in the transformation aspect, toys that are an action figure, puzzle, and car model all in one. It's what makes these toys special.

Right? Take Kd Optimus Primal, accurate and able to turn into a gorilla, so his R.E.D. figure which came out at the same time just feels redundant.
@finalbossgamer54817 ай бұрын
Another reason that the R.E.D line flopped is because a lot of them were uh, not good. They had odd color choices, bad plastic, malformed accessories, loose joints, and posed a lot worse than a good chunk of modern mainline figures. Yes, most of them had the accuracy part, but they felt like leftover plastic and the fact that there were more posable, better quality, transformable, and sometimes more accurate figures out there, whether official or third party, definitely made them flop.

Most collecters consider transformers that don't transform sacralige, but a lot of those same collecters will get one that does, never transform it once, leave in a cool pose on their shelf for the rest of it's life, never messing with it, and complain when it's inaccurate or missing articulation. I'm just saying, if all you really want is a robot that's just to pose and never touch again than why do you care if it transforms or not?

No matter how others say about non-transforming Transformers figures, even if it defeats the purpose by in it's name, it will always be and always has been a BRAND. There's bound to have variety and types of merchandise. With that said, I don't mind the concept. Mainly because it's a "representation" of one mode (alt or robot) that strives for screen accuracy from the source material and not worrying any compromises and issues from a traditional Transformers figure that can actually transform (some were a hit or miss, depending on the tolerances that vary copy to copy) and more articulation. The concept of it is just a novelty and an option imo. There are plenty of options out there if you feel like a certain concept or thing in it's brand is not for you.

My first Transformers figure actually came from the Tiny Titans line of non-transforming figures. It was part of the RID 2015 line, but featured figures from other continuities as well, so I was so confused when I got Shockwave because he wasn't in the show.

One transformers toy I want to add to the list was Kreo’s buildable figures line. It came with the necessary pieces to either build a vehicle or build the robot but they could not transform. I had to explain countless times to friends and family that they did not transform. They were always like “doesn’t that defeat the point?” For me, Kreo worked because it wasn’t about the transformation it was about building the figure. And I still got a vehicle and robot out of it so I thought it was a good trade off. At the time it made sense too since it was impossible to build a transforming toy out of buildable bricks. Then of course people figured out how to make them out of LEGO and now we have official buildable figures of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee (as of right now) who can transform. Making the Kreo figures pretty obsolete. I will say though they did have a good variety of characters. I owned Ratchet, Ironhide, and Devastator to name a few. I also saw Knockout and Vortex on shelves.

Out of the several happy meal transformers toys over the years, only the first based on animated had toys that could transform
