Edit: I've just been informed that Hello Student have changed the names of their studios for the upcoming year (I'm not sure if this is just in Manchester or elsewhere too!) As I said I have the Deluxe Studio which is now known as the Platinum Studio - this is the bigger/pricier studio out of the ones they offer! :)

Great tour! Ahhhh I prefer gas hobs and Lewis prefers electric like you ;) I've just realised that my block (back in the day) was the one you can see out of your window! I still can't remember which number it was but anyway it was that one sort of tucked behind victoria baths :) so crazy how much they have changed! Plus a dishwasher?! Luxury student life indeed haha! Great video as always Emma! xx

p.s sounds exactly like when we were there..... nothing was ever fixed and it seemed like they wanted it to be high quality even back then (2012) but it wasn't finished properly. Or the materials they used just broke or deteriorated really quickly.
@EmmaNicole4 жыл бұрын
I know!! Not the best finish or management team but I guess it is a lot more luxurious than some student places 🙂 thanks for watching Lucy! ❤️

I've noticed with 'luxury' student accommodations the service is just as bad as campus accommodation I had moved into a newly built accommodation near my uni and I already had problems the first day I moved which never really got solved like they offered services like room service from the kitchen and cleaning which never happened and also an app to book all these things plus repairs but never was made. For the price for some of these places you'd think they would be on top of things but they aren't I regretted spending so much money on it after a month of moving in :/ your better off saving your money and living somewhere cheaper or off campus houses
@EmmaNicole3 жыл бұрын
Yeah so true! I regretted how much money it was too lol

After watching your video I’ve booked the same accommodation but in Portsmouth. As a 25 year old the idea of living in halls didn’t appeal, but this is ideal. Did you find it still ok social wise? X
@EmmaNicole3 жыл бұрын
To be honest I didn’t make any friends in the building (but I didn’t really try to either) they did hold a few social events and there are lots of common areas but I was just always with my boyfriend/other friends! 🙂

Hello love, I am also applying for a studio apartment instead of a shared one as I have always wanted to move from home but I value my personal space a lot. I’m just wondering how you coped and managed to find new friends, was it a hard experience? Or did you find that you made friends very easily. It’s just that for some reason I have a picture in my head that it would be hard to make friends as you’re not sharing a kitchen or social space. Thank you so much :) this is such a helpful video 🤍
@EmmaNicole3 жыл бұрын
I’d say it’s hard to make friends within the building, unless you go to the social events that they have. Personally I don’t mind being alone/living alone I like it and I just spent time with my friends I already had from work and uni, and my boyfriend ❤️

Hey there! Greetings!! I was looking across accommodations and certainly have Victoria Point on my shortlist. I just have 2 questions and it would be of great help if you clarify it out. 1. Did the TV come with the apartment as it is not listed under the studio room facilities on their website. 2. How would you recommend this accommodation for staying in. Hope to hear from you soon! Cheers! Warm Regards, Prathamesh
@EmmaNicole2 жыл бұрын
Hi yeah mine came with the TV, I don’t know if it’s changed since me being there in 2019/2020. I’d recommend it but I think it’s a little overpriced for the space that you get, worth it if you have the money though 😊

@@EmmaNicole Thanks so much! How was the social aspect there? I am a first year student who reserved the exact same room as you. Do you think it's worth living there as a fresher or do you think I'll miss out a lot on the social aspect. I also have a place at denmark road/unsworth reserved but idk which one of these I should choose cuz I'm not rlly into partying and only want to party maybe twice a month. Do you have any ideas for me and how is the location compared to say denmark road?

do you recommend a year one undergraduate to stay at private halls like yours?
@EmmaNicole4 жыл бұрын
I was in shared halls in first year but I ended up moving home because I really hated it, this is why I wanted to live alone in my second year. There’s pros and cons to both shared/private, it depends on your personal preference and situation really 🙂 let me know if you have more questions!
@zitayu5634 жыл бұрын
Emma Nicole Thank you for replying! I also understand that staying in uni halls are better for first year students. Btw I heard that there are lots of spiders and silverfish in undergrad dorms is that true? I truly haaate insects esp spiders😫
@EmmaNicole4 жыл бұрын
zitaay I think most people stay in halls in first year for the social aspect, yeah they aren’t the cleanest and most modern places 😂 but I guess some uni halls may be nicer than others, they’re all pretty similar/basic in style though
