When I started watching your videos, I thought I could never do what you do....because you are sooooooo organized. So, because my husband and I need to downsize, I decided to watch your craft room tour. I have been laughing so hard, because I've realized that organization is in the eye - and mind - of the beholder. I love that you repurposed old bookcases and cabinets to hold your things...and also incorporated newer furniture pieces. I was so sad to miss the Texas made-it-con, and to miss the fall one. My goal is to make at least one...and to take at least one of your classes. Your instructional videos have been such a blessing to me.

I love that you know exactly where to go in your space to get exactly what you want! It may not look like it is organized to others but You are who matters! It's your space so you do you!! It is organized exactly the way it needs to be for You! Love it! Thank you for opening up your private space to us to tour! It is helpful to see what others use and how and why they use it! We never stop learning! Many, many thanks! 😊

It's always great to see someone else's space. As artists we all have clever ways of recycling ordinary storage to fit our needs and you put it all together so beautifully. I have found that my life is so much simpler if I design my spaces to fit my needs rather than try to follow design trends. After all it is the artists that are the ones who truly inspire design trends! P.S. Don't be surprised if you get a surplus of piggies from your fans after this video. ;)

Wow! You have a lot of stuff! I enjoyed the tour. Around Christmas I tea dyed a lot of papers for future junk journals, cut and folded a lot of papers, etc. then in February I was asked to teach again. So now my fifth grade reading class is in the process of making junk journals, using a lot of my papers, etc., they brought boxes, I cut them to size, squeezed on some Fabri Tac and they glued each box to some TyVec. The next day they chose scrap book papers to cover their books. They have been collecting photos from home too. They need to make a pocket or two and some tags, before I help each child sew their journal together and make a tassel, if they want one. This was brought about because we read about pioneers traveling west in covered wagons, in a wagon train, keeping journals about their adventures. It is so much fun to see kids excited about their learning. Had it not been for you and I'm a Cool Mom...I might not have thought of such a cool project. Thanks!!!

Thanks for sharing! I love seeing other people's craft rooms. I am crammed into a guest bedroom that is used when we have company, so I have to be able to cram everything into the closet at a moments notice because we seem to have surprise guests often. So wish I could have a dedicated space all my own. It is so special to have furniture made by your dad and your husband in your room! Thanks again for showing us all your inspiration area.

I ran across this video. Thank you for sharing. I have been told many times that i have a lot of crap in my craftroom and that I need to get rid of a lot of it. I used to work in the medical field and when I got days off I went into my own world. I have done alot of crafts in my time. Most self taught. Of all the crafts I continue, I do alot of scrapbooking, and now thanks to your inspiration Journal making. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. My very own room is a room that used to be a patio the length of my house. I am guilty of stuffing it to the guills. When I started crafting, it went well into the night and sometimes I didn"t have the materials I needed, so I started buying and hoarding so I could have what i needed. A sister teases that I have my own store. But when she wants to buy something crafty she says "Let"s go to the candy store". Jennifer after seeing your creative spaces, there is no one in this world that can make me feel like I have too much. It's my world and my creative space. I love your rooms. you are my inspiration.

I had to laugh when you revealed your ‘piggies!’ I, also, have a teeny weeny piggie in my Studio. I was on a walk in one of our parks a couple years ago. As I was leaving, walking in the parking lot to my car, I looked down and there was Little piggy in a terrible mess with her buddy the giraffe. They had been smashed several times by car tires! I believe in animal rescue so they both live in my Studio. Thanks for sharing your creative spaces. I doubt any one of your fans have anything different for their workspace. I know mine is very much like yours and it is my favorite place to be any time of the day or night. I’ll post my Little Piggy and Goofy Giraffe on FB. Great video share. Thank you for all your inspiration.

That is why your work is amazing . A fan from Ireland

Loved looking in on your creative world! I sighed relief as I noticed areas so much like my own. My daughter said my craft room made her nervous because there was so much "stuff"; until she realized there were zones and a rhythm to the madness! Works for me and keeps most people out of my work-in-progress-projects. Working, meaning I'm still working on them & yes, I will finish them, God willing, someday! Hahaha Thanks so much for sharing yourself from the other side of the camera! Sure wish I had the ability to attend these fun workshops. If you do it again next year, I'm going one way or another! Don't forget to step back for a minute while you are there and soak up the memories! We will all want to hear all about it!! Love your style!

Thank you for inviting us into your creative space! What a beautiful space. I love all the smaller wooden cabinets! When I was a kid I always viewed things like that as little treasure troves. You never knew what could be in there. I think it's so cool that you have so many artistic interests and found a way to store it all. People who aren't into art or crafting don't get it lol...I'm always asked why I keep things Im not using right away. They don't understand that I will get back into it lol. I also like that you put your finished projects around, like your travelers notebook and your finished albums. The stained glass is beautiful. I also wanted to ask if you will ever revisit the artisan series? In one of the artisan vids you mentioned that you has a few more in mind. I got the Way Home and look forward to growing that collection. But anyways thank you for sharing your space with us! What a great place to work. Also, I loved the album/recipe book you made about your grandmother. I've been thinking of something similar to do for my special people, and seeing yours helped.
