The sketchbook I'm currently using was actually a gift from a friend, so I can't provide specific information about where to buy it. However, I must admit that I don't highly recommend this particular sketchbook because the paper is quite thin and tends to wrinkle during painting. If you're a beginner, I suggest using watercolor paper or a watercolor sketchbook, or even thicker paper that is easier to work with. If I come across a great sketchbook in the future, I'll definitely recommend it in my videos. Keep creating and enjoy your artistic journey!

How’s gram paper for your painting? It’s look too thick suitable to gouache.

Thank you for your comment and question! 🎨 The gram weight of the sketchbook paper I currently use is 110gsm. Personally, I find this paper to be a bit too thin for my painting style. When applying the first layer of paint, the paper tends to wrinkle slightly. To avoid this issue, I would recommend using a heavier-weight paper, which is more suitable for gouache and can handle multiple layers of paint without wrinkling. Happy painting! 🌟

Your artworks really inspired me to try out gouache, i love painting nature but i often used acrylic, so i bought the himi gouache set! im wondering what painting journal you are using aswell as the painting tape? it seems like it holds the paint well

For my painting journal, I often use a medium-textured sketchbook with 100gsm paper, but I do suggest thicker paper, like those for watercolor painting. As for the painting tape, I typically use a low-tack tape that's suitable for delicate surfaces. It holds the paper securely in place while painting and can be easily removed without damaging the paper. I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask! Happy painting!
