Welcome to another painting Studio Ghibli scenes. Today I'm going to paint the scene from The Secret World of Arrietty.
In a secret world hidden beneath the floorboards, little people called Borrowers live out of sight of humans. But when brave and tiny Arrietty is out gathering supplies, she is discovered by Sho, a human boy, and they begin to form a friendship that blossoms into an extraordinary adventure... Have you seen the movie yet? This is definitely another interesting movie in Studio Ghibli's series 👏
Anyway, this painting took me almost a whole day to finish. So I hope you enjoyed watching the video as much as I enjoyed painting it 🥰

either they are straight from the tube , or like you mention she mixes them. I'd suggest keep practicing but remember color theory and how easy colors can be turned muddy :) hope that helps a bit

Arriety is actually a really beautiful and underrated movie (Tom Holland did amazing in the English dub) and I love how you painted Arriety! I can't tell that it's a painting, it looks just like the movie!

When I saw the difference of color on the forehead, it didn’t make sense to me at first and then I saw the other shades go in and my jaw dropped- thats the shadow! It’s really wonderful 😮❤

i knew this story sounded familiar so i looked it up finding that both the 2010 Studio Ghibli - The Secret World of Arrietty- and -The Borrowers-, a 1997 "live action" U.S. movie (which is what i was recalling) were both based on the 1952 children's novel of the same name (the burrowers) by U.K. author Mary Norton.

It's holbein acryla gouache, and I use 2 brushes for the lineart, sometimes just 1 for drawings that aren't very detailed
