@@Jdoll991 Rocks are not worse than plastic... Rocks are a natural part of the Earth. Also these papers do biodegrade in sunlight, as they are very light sensitive. However, if you want to actually talk about a problem, these types of paper do use a small amount of plastic as a binding agent and that plastic doesn't biodegrade and it isn't natural (like rocks are). Quick Google search told me all this, idk where you're getting your information from.

I also use stone paper for paintings once in awhile! I especially like them when I’m using Poscas because I have a hard time finding paper that is thick enough for them but also smooth. I love how smooth the paper is and how it doesn’t warp at all! But it can be streaky sometimes like you said because it doesn’t hold onto the paint super well. Your painting turned out so beautiful!! 💛

Yes, I had to apply 2 layers of color to make it look more opaque and leave no paint streaks on the paper. Maybe I will try a full drawing with Posca pen on this stone paper. Thank you so much 😊🌼

I looked it up, it's a mix of stone dust and hdpe plastic or other resin. Non-biodegradeable. It should be waterproof when you think about it since it's plastic. It is true that it uses less carbon to produce, because it's plastic and stone dust, but any ecological claim beyond the carbon used to make it and lack of bleach is specious at best. Having said that, you did a lovely job painting this.
@meecoart2 жыл бұрын
I think it's not really as eco-friendly as I thought it would be. But even so, the softness of the paper still amazes me. Thank you so much 😊🌼
@ritawilbur73432 жыл бұрын
There's also the vast amounts of water used to produce pulp paper, whereas this uses none. Also, Etched gets their stone completely from construction waste - whereas some other stone paper companies mine theirs. I'm still skeptical of the environmental claims, but it does seem to have some points in its favor. I'm still concerned about the plastic used, though.

@meecoart2 жыл бұрын
Yes it's not suitable for alcohol markers. I think it's more suitable for watercolor or gouache, I found that the color is not visible at all on the back of the paper
