Sensational. It is such a joy to hear wonderful musicians play!

These musicians make this amazing music appear effortless and yet to get to that level of playing is anything but effortless. Thanks for this, to the musicians and the uploader.

I absolutely love this group. When I lived in Tallahassee I used to go to a cafe every friday at 6 with my friend and listen to music like this over drinks. You guys take me back to good times. Thank you.

Man, this was one of my favorite shows when it was on Bet Jazz. Thanks so much for posting these previously unreleased episodes. The entire premise of the show is just fantastic. I can't understand why it was taken off of the air. Good stuff. I guess it would be a logistical nightmare to try to release this on dvd.

can Anyone explain what the drummer is doing at 6:25?
@YaoEspirito6 жыл бұрын
It's just continuous triplets, it's just so tastefully, and nicely divided across various drums. It's the touch and the excellent timing that makes it sound so sweet, but the roll itself is pretty common. Listen to the beginning of 'Makes No Difference' live, by Pat Travers, and you'll hear the same general roll, but harder and a little simpler. Kicks ass.
@FrankBriggs5 жыл бұрын
I am playing 32nd note combinations of RLRLFF/ RLFF /FFRL. Not triplets, but I understand the confusion. Thank you so much. :)

What's wrong with his bass position ? Is it normal ?
@ThibaultDelattre11 жыл бұрын
"Normal" ? No, he plays with the strings "upside down" (as Hendrix did with his guitar. A few bass players tend to choose that way, for reasons I don't fully understand (the late Wayman Tisdale for exemple), but it works for them.
@TH0M261011 жыл бұрын
Thibault Delattre Oh I see. Like Jimi used to play. It's weird but interesting. Thanks ! :)
@contactkeithstack11 жыл бұрын
Thibault Delattre Hendrix played an upside down guitar but the strings were still highest pitch string towards feet.
@contactkeithstack11 жыл бұрын
Thibault Delattre He also probably learned to play like that because he's a leftie and right handed basses are more common, so he just flipped it over and built from there.
