I'm showing my parents AOT. Dad is midway though season 2, but mom is all caught up. Even though my mom doesn't like anime, OR heavy music, "The Rumbling" was her favorite intro, and she asked me NOT to skip it, every time. She would bob her head while getting more snacks for our episode binges. This is the only anime I've ever gotten my parents to watch with me, and now my mom is interested in Demon Slayer. I'm a proud daughter.

my favorite opening is Jiyuu No Tsubasa (the second opening) for some reason not a lot of people have that as their favorite, cuz its usually Shinzo Wo Sasageyo or the rumbling. They're all good but Jiyuu no Tsubasa is definitely the best and you can't change my mind.

actually in 11:06 , every paragraph is of one of the songs that Linked Horizon did for the anime 11:06 op1 -> starts with yumiya (guren no yumiya) 11:11 op2 -> starts with tsubasa (jiyuu no tsubasa) 11:13 op3 -> starts with shinzou (shinzou wo sasageyou) 11:16 ed4 -> starts with requiem (requiem der morgenroten) edit: even in the opening animation something appears alluding to the openings. It's awesome

Openings: 1,2,3,5 are made by Linked Horizon, op4/6/7 are different artists That might explain why there sound similiar and all 4 are made into "Epic" theme :)

@@Jhulian_R It would make sense... dont know, how much have you watched already, but I'll try to make it as much spoiler free as possible: seasons 1,2 and even 3(especialy 2nd part ->op5) were all about humanity fighting for their survival against overwhelming powerfull foes in form of titans... only thing that changed over seasons is that we viewers (and our protagonists) know more about the world... season 5(?), or final season part2(3?), is... well... basicaly same concept (anyone reading this - please don't evolve on this subject- you don't want to spoil everything, right?) -> humanity fighting for their survival against overwhelming powerfull foes in form of titans... it would make sense for Linked Horizon to be invited to create something for last few episodes... would nicely close up the series... (starting epic, ending epic) but i wouldn't be mad, if it was something with similiar apocalyptic feal as "Rumbling", something that would show great despair... maybe with a small shining light of hope in last few sounds ?

now, if you're watching AoT - rewatch every opening once you finish each part (op1 -> half of season1, op2 -> 2nd finish season1, op3 -> season2, op4-> you can watch it freely ,op5 -> finish season3, op6 -> you can watch it freely, op7 -> dont watch it, until you finished at least half of season4)

The series is inspired by the German imaginary (it can be seen in the names of some characters). And at one point in the plot you can see the similarities with the World War ll

I will never understand why people always recommend not to watch the visuals of the ops. Like it's too much info within too little time, he won't remember any of it. Yes, there are always hints of things that will happen, but you don't actually see them until you finally get to that part of the story. I remember watching op 2 of the third season, FULL of hints, but never really picked anything up until I finally got to those parts, only THEN you realize everything they put on the op The only case it actually applies for would be the rumbling
