Agree and just made the switch myself a month ago, although I had no previous experience with Cubase. Would you consider posting some content that includes your thoughts on how to make the change to CB a wee bit less painful- Just tiny little things after you sort it out, but for me, it lacks some of Studio One's intuitive nature so there is a steeper learning curve than I expected. Thanks for posting.

@@EcstasyTunes have gone with Cubase pro as it appears to be a relatively easy change over, maybe a slightly different workflow but I think it's not a big curve to crossover, so far everything seems logical once you find the right menu to look in. I do like it even though I didn't want to!!

Coming from cubase 12 pro to s1... its light and no glitches.. cubase used to use so much of memory..

former hardcore S1 user - now back on Cubase 13 too and finally very happy. Now Cubase has all this what S1 makes great (like bezier curves, lower zone, vsti pics in browser, much more drag/drop etc.) plus Cubase has much better Midi composing capacities, much better onstock effects, and the mix console is the most flexible on the market. Can´t live without the creative fast SamplerTrack, Control Room, the great professional onstock VSTis. I really love the modern Media Bay sample content! You don´t need thirdparty stuff when you use Cubase, I must say. Great times.

Same here. Just that I was lucky to quit S1 and sell my license before 6.6. Like I was expecting this kind of slap in the face, or something :) One thing, though. From my experience, I didn't find S1 too unstable, nor Cubase 13 perfectly stable. For some reason, I have quite a number of freezes from time to time in Cubase. I have an idea that it's because of my old UR22MKII. Maybe it's time to upgrade. Otherwise, yes, I'm thrilled that I moved to Cubase. It's so much deeper than S1.

Oh it could be reason. I’m using SSL interface and it works great with Cubase on Windows 11 machine.

I feel the same, and I gave up on S1 with this latest update. Cubase is pact with so much features that I would be crazy to leave it for S1.

I understand being freaked by subscriptions; I don't like them either. But you can stop at the current version. You do not need to continue paying and you get to keep an awesome DAW for cheap. I paid good money for the Pro version years ago (also paid for some major updates) and if anything, I'm more pissed off that newbies to Studio One are getting off so cheap ;)

Just upgraded to cubase 13 pro, looking forward to working with it. Not selling my s1 as I have songs in it that I need to finish, but I’m not spending any more money on it. 🎹 looking forward to your cubase videos. Now searching for groove agent videos.

In the same position. Pretty easy to export S1 sessions (songs?) and import to Cubase. So many pro composers, producers and writers use Cubase. How many use Studio One? Even Christian Henson has switched from Logic!

@@tam_ryan1036 I for one, Ive had several billboard number 1’s and top ten’s with s1, also I do plan to port songs over to cubase after all tracks are in audio form. 🎹♥️

Hello. Can I set Key Signature or changes of the key signature in Cubase. I like Studio One because i can export the Key ... Is it possibe in Cubase?

Yup me too. Loved Studio One 6. Left Logic for it. But Cubase 13 is so good now and Steinberg really listen to their user base. Last time I used it was v10. Tiny re-learning curve and I'm happy again. It's rock solid and isn't plagued by greedy corporation buyouts who mess with my mind and my workflow. Fender, stop punishing your long term users for buying your product outright. Enough with the greedy subscription model. Huge mistake! Leave Studio One to the devs and users and you might win a few of us back. Doubt it though. Cubase has massively leaped forward.

I've been with Studio one since version 3, it is not worth it anymore, so moved to Cubase 13. there is a learning curve, but I am happy with it.

I think it’s not really a subscription model as you can buy for 1 year and after that you can keep the version at that point and it will work forever. To me it looks like the model of Bitwig which I am using and for me this model works well. But it is cheaper and you can buy the update plan on a sale. In any case, as you can keep a perpetual license it is NOT a subscription. A subscription will stop working if you stop paying. This will not.

Yes. I had anxiety every time launching S1 as I couldn’t predict when it was gonna crash. I don’t have that anxiety anymore.

S1 6.6 is a bummer. A very few people use atmos stuff!! the new synth "Lead Architekt" is a bad joke, sounds like a boring 90´s old Roland Rompler!!! why??? Presonus can't build plugins. They only steal features from other DAWs. Mainly from Cubase. You can see this in every update. I will sell my S1 license in the next days too. now back on C13.
