Studio One gives you several options for finding your plugins, view by type, vendor, all, etc...
Plus you also have the option to create your own folders and organize your plugins any way you wish. Create a folder called "Vocals" and place all the plugins you use for vocal tracks in that folder. Create a folder called "Drums" and place all your drum VI's in that folder. You can also place folders within folders for even further customization.

You're a lifesaver brother, the dragging up into folders from f5 list was what was stumping me, had no idea there was a plugin manager under the view menu. Thanks for this!

I used FL and Ableton for years (switching between them, learning both of them to a state where I can work fast in them). Well, the copies were not "valid" (this is NOT illegal in Hungary, it's not punished for personal use, to say the very least) Now that I'm planning forward, and planning bigger, I started renting studio one from splice (and started using only things I "own"/rent) Gosh, this was a good decision! Amazing daw, fast to pick up, especially with existing experience! If I get signed one day, I'll be a proud studio one user!

*just a quick PS.: Earning 300 euros a month after finishing high school (avarage Hungarian vage) is not really helping me to buy new things. Hungary is cheap as f, but when it comes to buying digital stuff, most of us are completely lost. Thanks for the great tutorials on this great daw!

Best video on this topic. One question though - how is this organization (especially the category folders) stored? Can this be transfered to a new computer? Can Studio One keep this organization even when the plugins are uninstalled and show the plugins in the way the user organized them once they are reinstalled?

I'm irritated with one of my plugin vendor got divided just because it has different naming (one folder have fewer characters than di other). I don't know if it's possible, but how do I rename it so they'd be combined together?

do these folders get stored locally in the drive somehow? i deleted all available folders to create my own one by one, and now i cannot give folders certain names (says volume already exists). in plugin manager, it says one plugin is still in a folder, but this folder is also not in browser. by chance, any idea of what this could be?

If you are using Prime or Artist you can't use third-party plugins. If you have Artist, you can buy the VST add-on for about $80 and then you can use your plugins. Or, get the Professional version.

This is so frustrating I’ve bought the professional version and I already bought some of my sounds that I use from Arturia and komplete 13 but I don’t seem to find all my plugins in the Daw

Native Instrument VST2 plugins are installed in their own location by default. Make sure you add that path in Studio One. If you are on Windows, NI VSTs are at C: - Program Files - Native Instruments - VSTPlugins 64 bit. VST3 plugins should be installed properly by default.

You're probably seeing the VST2 and VST3 versions. You can hide the VST2 (or 3) if you don't want to see them.

Can you do a video on how to locate your Waves Plugins through studio one. I'll be getting a new computer soon and will be installing studio one. I can't remember how I got studio one to find my wave plugins on my first computer. The waves instruction videos was not helping. Your videos seem to be more clear and helpful. Thanks you!👍

Waves should install to the standard VST path when you use Waves Central. If you have moved the files you need to add that path in S1.

Can someone help please?! every plug in i install gets blacklisted by S1. I may have accidentally misplaced a folder(s) and it giving me a huge headache. Plug ins that showed up before are gone and although i uninstall and reinstalled them they get scanned but blacklisted immediately. Ive reset the blacklist and tried searching specific folders on my drive but i get the same issue. Ive watched every video regarding this blacklisting issue but still nothing. Should I unistall S1 and start from scratch or somehow group them to be searched in the same place? Tech support from Sweetwater couldnt figure it out and i reached out to S1 support and it didnt help either! Im running windows 10 and they work fine in FL studio. Any info helps thanks!

This video is for the full version of Studio One, usually called 'Professional'. Artist cannot use third-party VST plugins unless you buy the VST add-on.

Is it possible to scan your effects and plugins for cracks that dont work, meaning everytime you go to drag a plugin to use it and it asks to authorize how do you get rid of those? Sometimes I go through 10-15 plugins before I get one that works.
