In Studio One, It's super easy to add a send to any track or bus, and a great trick is being able to pan your sends from your tracks.
On the sends in Studio One, when you route to a stereo bus or FX track, you can pan that send to create some width in your mix and create some atmosphere in your track.
Have a question about Presonus Studio One? Ask in the comments and I'll make your question into a video for everyone else to learn from!

There's' a lot of content out there for most of the major DAWS, but all of Tim's videos are up there with the very best i.e. clear, concise, detailed where required and applicable to ANY genre of music. He also gets extra brownie points for never describing something he likes as 'dope' or asking his viewers 'what's up?

@@TimTalksAudio Thanks Tim for the answer. I actually find what's ongoing on. They introduce a "lock pan to channel" function, with is checked by default when you create a send. So if you right click on the send you can uncheck it and pan your send where you want.

Hi Tim, love your tutorials, I've sent all my instruments to a band bus channel in SO4, the thing is some of the instruments I've panned are not being panned when coming through the band bus channel, what am I doing wrong here?
@TimTalksAudio
@TimTalksAudio 4 жыл бұрын
I would double check that you haven’t accidentally made the bus mono. That would essentially “disable” the ability to pan into the bus.

I still can't figure out how to pan 2 guitars that are going into a bus... Each guitar track is panned hard left and hard right. But when I send them to the bus, everything is just down the middle, even when I adjust the pan sliders inside the routing menu. Any help is appreciated
@TimTalksAudio
@TimTalksAudio 2 жыл бұрын
Are your two guitar tracks different performances or takes? If you just duplicate one guitar and pan them left and right, you're creating a louder mono guitar. You need differences and variations to get stereo guitars.

@timtalks nice video right there but come on @studioone @presonousaudio , as well thought of and as smart as studio one is ...you have to make the send panning follow the main panning automatically like in protools. I’m surprised they don’t have that feature in there. but can you at least copy your main panning and paste it ?
@TimTalksAudio

Not directly, yet. I'm sure there's a bunch of requests on the Presonus Forums asking for this. I know I would at least want the pan slider easier to see!

@@TimTalksAudio thanks , one quick question. When things are temporarily grouped. are we able to control the whole group with lets say one eq or compressor granted all of them have it on each tracks ?
@TimTalksAudio
@TimTalksAudio 3 жыл бұрын
@@hbonthetrack if you have a temp group and add a plugin, it will add that plugin to all the selected tracks, but it will not group the plugin controls. So you wouldn’t be able to add “6” eq’s and raise the top end on all 6 at the same time. You could however, bus those tracks together then use one plugin to effect all those tracks!
