As a native of Jamaica, and someone who gives Bob Marley the most supreme respect of all times.I would like to commemorate his life time work and achievements. He has sung songs for the people who can't sing for themselves. He has given voices to the people at the bottom of the food chain. He is an icon, a Jamaican hero, and an introspection to all mankind to give ourselves a moral and ethical thinking about life and humanity..One Love RIP BOB

This is an excellent video. Rare. I love Bob, he really said it all. It's too bad that in this video there's just a buzz 1:38 - 1:55. I'd love to know where you can get all footage that's on here.

More and more ppl come in and the police panic and fire tear gas into the crowd causing a riot but Bob plays on. After just 90 minutes police declare the concert unsafe and had to stop it.

Not a lie as such but an incorrect statement. The events happened as follows:- Bob Marley turns up in Zim as invited thinking he was to play for the masses but was told he was to play for the "dignitaries" only. He is not happy but agrees to play anyway. Whilst he is playing, a massive crowd gathers outside the Rufaro Stadium gate. They break into the stadium but Marley plays on to the jubilation of the ppl.

What an irony! That Marley's best tune--and it really is--celebrates the greatest betrayal of African liberation from European colonial rule, the OTHER Bob, good ol' Mugabe--worse than Bokassa, worse than Taylor or Idi Amin, absolutely the worst shit stain to ever blemish that grand and otherwise noble continent. Of course the real pain in watching this great band rehearse is knowing how bad Marley's condition has become at this point--he's just about dead.

After Bob's Zimbabwe concert Bob Mugabe demanded for Bob (Marley) to play a private for Mugabe & cronies. Marley refused. Even though he stayed in the country for a couple of days, he was quite disgusted at Mugabe when he left. So no leopards don't change their spots nor do jackals, vultures & hyenas for that matter.
