I cannot justify getting him again even if its 86 which is the line I focus the most on. Like everyone I agree I would have been okay with a core class set for his cassete bots. We know steeljaw is coming which by jolly I am going for, hope Ramhorn shows up since I have a near complete set for soundwave just missing buzzsaw. I just hope I don't sound so spoiled you know cause this is all g1 stuff. I like G1, but man it feels like we got day one punishment you know.

The only insectacon I ever saw in the stores was Kickback I really wanted Bombshell but never saw him anywhere I'm a fan of the insectacons and would love to see a 3 pack hit store shelves I would snatch 1 up no problem

I have a serious feeling that, like Axlegrease being a major showcase that she was a pretool for Lockdown, the Cannonball figure here is acting as a pretooling for Armada Red Alert. RID 2015 was one show I watched as a way to just wind down after a bad day, so seeing Filch (Her robot mode only being a silhouette in her one and only episode) is so nice. Plus being a retooling of the Kingdom Airrazor is just more beast era survival. And as for Ferak, I got the Kingdom Cyclonus from Ollie's for only $20 last year. But, Ferak is an obscure character from the Marvel comics. I'll think on it.

I ended up pre-ordering 86 Blaster as I have the original legacy/kingdom Blaster and my eject is starting to stress at the knees. The fact that this one had no clear plastic definitely was a major selling point for me at least and I think he'll look pretty cool next to my other Blasters and Soundwaves. Hopefully they do a Studio Series 86 Soundwave to go along with 86 Blaster in the future.

I don't mind the Target exclusive...that Blaster is an awesome mold. But..some of these exclusives..I don't see why they just seed these as package refreshes b/c I feel like they sometimes pull the wool over retail with molds they have already released in quantity. So you have retailers like Walmart bowing out. It leads to shelf warming which clogs up the pipeline for something more interesting.

Repaints are how companies make money off of their sculpts. There are many things to complain about when it comes to how Hasbro does business, but repaints have been a part of all toy companies for decades. That's already baked into the system. That said, i just dont buy them. Like the Beast Wars Again repaints that are in show accurate colors. I already bought the Kingdom releases, and that was when we had a good economy and groceries were affordable. Nowadays, i can't afford to buy everything i want to. So I'm not gonna drop money on repaints when I'm perfectly happy with the previous release.

Personally, Lockdown, Filch, and Cannonball are my desired picks from this subline. Here's why: Lockdown is a heavy retool of _Legacy Evolution_ Axelgrease, a toy which I sadly missed out on. Filch and Cannonball, I messed around with the original versions of their respective molds, so transforming them will be easy for me. In Cannonball's case though, it would be worth it because he comes with a Cyber Key that, in theory, could fit into the slot in _Legacy_ Override's gun.

The "Cannonball mold" is just a slight retool of legacy Skids... The lockdown really bugs me, as his head looks nothing like his animated self, and he's also gonna be really small next to the other animated bots, when he towered over most of them in the show. Are you going to do a separate video about the Cybertron Starscream that they accidentally released in Chile before it was even announced?

His head is based on the Revenge of the Fallen Lockdown figure so that's why it looks so off. Yeah I need to talk about that Starscream too. Totally missed it while recording. I also forgot to mention that Cannoball was made from the Skids mold. Too much happening all at once.

Nah. It was a _bit_ meh in the beginning, but once it finally got to the figures, then it was cool. It had a slow start, then when it finally got to the cool stuff, it was already almost over. I think the figures that were "revealed" were really cool stuff. I'm definitely getting Blaster & both Mayhem sets.

If Hasbro renames something 90% it’s because they lost the trademark. The other 10% is when they deliberately decide to rename because the original name is associated with something not market friendly. Ex Slag of the dinobots name turnout to be a slur in the UK, so Hasbro changed his name to just be slug now @CptnCannonball

I Have 3 versions of this mold myself already. I'd definitely be open army building with different colored Cassettes, but they ought to do all the cassette tapes separately cause I'm not buying this mold over and over just to get the cassettes

Skipping Lockdown. He’s supposed to be tall and slim, and his alt mode is more slick and sporty. Im pretty good with my two animated versions of him. I hate that they made SS86 Blaster a Pulse/Target exclusive. The three other Star Seekers (Raiders) look pretty good.

SS86 Blaster I'll get. They need to release his other cassettes though, along with Springer, Windcharger (and Tailgate), Outback, blue/white Bumblebee and Cliffjumper and Yellow Cliffjumper and Red Bumblebee, a white Magnus/Prime repaint, and if we're talking SS86, we could do Sunstreaker and Wheeljack that are retools with a more diaclone accurate transformation (the legs on those are a bit troublesome to transform, and having Wheeljack's chest transform that way is not ideal), and a Hound that has better legs, with the front wheels not bending around to create the feet like that. That's not good engineering. The legs just aren't accurate to the source toy.

When I saw the term Star Raiders, I thought, "Hmm, I thought it was Star Seekers". Of course it hit me that 1) it probably would confuse them with the regular Seekers and 2) they're pirates, so Star Raiders is better.

I was hoping they'd have at least retool Blaster's alt mode speakers to get rid of that bar that the G1 character doesn't have. Otherwise it's nice that we're getting a cartoon accurate deco for him. Fun Fact: Cybertron Cannonball was my second ever Transformers toy. I got him in one of those Black Friday two packs with Downshift. Always cool to see more of obscure characters. I still hope we get Evac and, now that it's been a bit, Cybertron Scourge so we can have all four Cyber Key keepers. I also think they could use Evac to make a G1 version of movie Blackout in a reverse of what happened in the movie toyline where they retooled Blackout into Evac. Like what happened with Barricade.

I think the SS Blaster is a solid idea, and as one who missed out on Kingsom Commander Rodimus Pr8me, hope he gets the same treatment. Huffer too, in the spirit of fairness, though he looks good as is. I believe the crux of the issue is that fans had no way to suspect this redeco would be made and thus did not have the freedom to choose which version they preferred. I lnow it would spoil things down the line but Hasbro would win PR points if they told us who would be made from each mold. Rhiugh I get sone idea only happen months after a figure is released. But it could work for many cases. I was hopi g Lockdown was made from Chase with Axlegrease's accessories. But this was inevitable. Now all 3 deluxe Junkionsa familiar have a prestablished character-if Crashbar is being retooled into Road Pig as speculation suggests. There needs to be a 3rd Tier for Omega Prime or I will feel cheated of a T-AI minifigurr.

When I first saw Axlegrease I overlooked it as I'd never heard the name. More recently I looked closer out of curiousity and thought to myself, why aren't you Lockdown, I'd buy Lockdown... Looks like I may be getting that one although I haven't seen these up for pre-order on Pulse and we have no Walmarts if it being an 'exclusive' is why and you did say Blaster was another outlet which was also on the email they sent announcing this all this 40th business. Ah well. Will show up sooner or later no doubt. Incidentally I'm not sure why there are so many Blasters to choose from. He is one of my favourites especially as he's held on rather defiantly to his tape deck mode while Soundwave has had some... Questionable alts which given his very first alt was some kind of lamp post is saying something. I'd settle for a lamp post over most of it. Anything not a tape deck honestly. But I've seen several versions of Blaster currently on sale all recolours of each other. His Shattered Glass alt was the one that made me finally decide to make an exception to the no Autobot rule. Now I have several. I'd have more if they weren't so very sold out. Good times.

I plan on skipping the Star Seekers because I don't have any connection to the characters and they call out to me either as particularly striking figures. I honestly would not have minded picking up Studio Series 86 Blaster, but I've barely ever seen the Target exclusive figures on shelves at my local Target, so I doubt I'll be getting him either. I have to say that it seems strange to me to make a Studio Series 86 figure that is a main TF character a Target exclusive, but I guess that's life for TF collectors.

Also I almost forgot when you mentioned those trading cards I remembered something a little similar you may not be familiar with. In the UK the Royal Mail released a special edition series of stamps for Transformers using I believe art from the comics. They also had this thing on phones where you could point the camera at them to have a special video play but I'm actually not yet able to get that working. Not sure how you feel about stamps but I could show you if you like. I don't generally go for them but I couldn't resist getting a few back when I heard about them in particular. Could even send you a postcard or something using one.

Calling it now, cartoon-accurate Sandstorm for the same price in a year. And I am okay with that; releasing toy-accurate and cartoon-accurate figures is overall good practice. However, not in the way in which it seems more like a money grab, trying to get us to buy both figures. A possible solution is for Hasbro to let us know in advance if the cartoon/toy-accurate version will be offered separately at a later date so we do not have to buy and re-sale when the version we prefer comes out.

I'll get that Blaster on sale. No need for a slightly different deco than the Kingdom version. His cassette bots so far are pretty meh. I opted to use an extra set of the KFC versions for all 4 in my mainline collection since Hasbto hasn't put out a faithful set of these so far and who knows when they will ever do a set that looks as good or better than those KFC versions. Even the new Rumble/Frenzy in Core class have limited articulation.

I will get Blaster, because no clear Plastic thank you Primus, yeah Eject I mean better then the clear plastic so yeah, time to be safe, soon recolor as Rewind. I mean I have Twincast so yeah Blaster too, sense my brother have Soundblaster so yeah I need him sense I got Legacy Soundwave from my birthday so yup. Star Seekers I stay with them Cannonball I am getting, will get a recolor as Cybertron RID Red-Alert in near future, my brother thinking about getting Lockdown, if not getting I don't he in as a Star Seekers even a Mercenaries I fine him more of a Decepticon bounty hunter more in my opinion, I like the Revenge of The Fallen head basic the toy of it. Filch from the RID2015 looks so good, used a Airazor mode the shades of blues and purples I enjoy it. I think some fans of transformers prime are basically Transformers prime purists because, for whatever reason they want the original figures re-created with modern engineering, and I’ve just kind of accepted this generations style that Hasbro went with for bulkhead, the jet twins, knockout, breakdown, and Arcee. They got the figures close enough. Knockout is the only figure that I will agree with some people on. That’s how I feel about the transformers prime figures in legacy. I would love to see TF prime ratchet from Cannonball. I wonder if they will do prime wheeljack as basically a re-tool of his earthrise figure. I could see it happen.

I like the TFP Legacy figures, all of them are good but Arcee. All of them work pretty good as their respective characters, but Arcee. The mold works well for all the other characters, but not Arcee. It doesn't look right. The best ones from accuracy & just overall are Bulkhead & the Jettwins (& now Breakdown, but he deserved more retooling). Knockout is fine, but it would've been nice if he was more TFP inspired. I still need Dreadwing. I've only got Bulk & KO, atm. I don't think Cannonball should be used as Ratchet, it'd be really inaccurate & overall, wouldn't really work, imo. I think Ratchet should have a new mold. & they could easily retool that mold for a TFA Ratchet. For one thing, Ratchet had his doors on his chest, not shoulders, & overall design-wise, wouldn't translate well from Cannonball, imo. Wheeljack should be a new mold or because they're now retooling/remolding SS figures (Javelin from Arcee), maybe retool/remold the SS Wheeljack (Wheeljack, not SS Pablo) mold for TFP Jackie? It wouldn't not work. & it'd be better than using the ER mold. Could the SS100 RotB Bee mold be retooled/remolded as TFP Bee?? Potentially? RotB Bee already reminds me (in a good way) to TFP Bee. So, maybe? Also, despite me liking the TFP Legacy figures & hope to see so many more characters like a Leader Class Optimus Prime (S1-2 design) with both his Ion Blasters, Swords, & Star Saber (maybe bump up to Commander if the Trailer he used a couple times was included?); Megatron; Smokescreen, Bee, etc, I'd still like to see more accurate TFP characters done in Studio Series, if SS branched off into shows, or they could just brand it under Predacons Rising for simplicity. The SS ones wouldn't replace the Legacy ones. The SS ones would be the super-uberly accurate versions of the characters, while the Legacy ones would be the characters a _bit_ stylized. Both would be good. No one would be better than the other, by much. I'll be happy with both the Generations-ified ones & the SS ones (if it were to happen). I'll collect both.

@@haydenreviewscustomcombos Ehh, not really. He should be a new mold, preferably Leader or maybe Commander?? Siege Megs doesn't really look like TFP Megs. The [TFP] jetmode is different from the [Siege] SG version's, so I don't think a simple retool would work. & proportions-wise, it wouldn't look right. TFP Megs doesn't really have a backpack like the Siege one & he has big spiky shoulders, a different Fusion Cannon, a blade that shoots out right below the cannon which I really hope can be replicated, etc. We need a Leader Class TFP Optimus (both Ion Blasters, Swords, & Star Saber, included), and/or a Commander Class Optimus (S3 & movie), a Leader Megs, Voyager/Deluxe Starscream & Soundwave, Voyager Shockwave, Deluxe Smoky & Bee, Leader or Commander Predaking, Darksteel, & Skylynx, Deluxe Jackie & Ratchet, Deluxe Vehicons (jet, car, miner), & more. & maybe a retool/remold of SS RotB Noah either as Jack in his astronaut suit (Orion Pax 2-3 parter (don't remember)), or Miko in Apex Armor. Also, we desperately need a new TFA Helicopter Megs at Leader Class. & a new BEEFY Leader TFA Lugnut. When I say beefy, I mean BEEFY.

I don't have Blaster yet. I wanted the Kingdom or any of the Legacy releases, but I didn't get any of those. & SS86 Blaster looks really cool! A solid-plastic Eject is super cool & nice! I'm definitely getting SS86 Blaster & Eject! I hope they can release a solid-plastic Rewind separately & not with Twincast or anyone else. We need Ramhorn & Steeljaw, too. Doesn't Steeljaw have a leaked listing? I hope that Haslab Optimus will be easy to grab at retail(ish) in 2025 cuz I really want it & I haven't backed it. I don't collect MDLX nor will I be getting them, but the G1-style (toon-deco) Optimus, Bumblebee, & Megatron look really cool, ngl! 4:16 I thought the Figpin reveal was gonna be a segment on Missing Link Optimus & maybe a reveal of like a Missing Link Megatron or something. No, he did not. His only appearence had to been the 86 movie at best cause Eject and Rewind both in the show and movie had the same color scheme which means thet didn't suffer the debate of Frenzy or Rumble, but Rewind and his two animal cassetes got the most screen time and ramhorn and steeljaw can even talk actual common. Its a shame we never got a real rematch of Blaster vs Soundwave, since Blaster basically is the Autobots soundwave in season 3. And wouldn't love a battle among these two with all their forces.
