Disappointed by how Studio Series Devastator can only stand on two legs? Here's an alternate transformation/configuration that allows you to pose Studio Series Devastator crawling on all fours!

It took almost 2 years to complete this guy, but it's been more than 10 years ago since I reviewed the Legends Class Devastator figure! Just look how far we've come.

Unpopular opinion: Devil Saviour's Troublemaker isn't worth it. When it's extremely nerve wracking attempting to transform it, you know you've done something wrong.

definitely not. Every figure is about $100US each(Buckethead and Hightower is a double pack). That's about $700 in total. Also yes, Mixmaster is a pain to transform, but recently I saw Longhaul review. He's much simpler to transform. I also saw Scavenger video. Can't remember if his transformation was as painful as Mixmaster's

I actually found a place to put the grill using the folded head method. You can store it between the two red pieces on Scavenger and it sits pretty securely. I made a video on it if you would like to watch. Also I’ll be using that chest configuration. It just looks nice and I like it. You did a great job overall. Love seeing all the creative ways people are reconfiguring this combiner. Makes you wonder why Hastak didn’t just do it themselves considering how easy it was for us.

Hey there! Thanks so much for the comment! I checked out your video and I agree that that's a great place to put the cab. However, I tried out the shoulder configuration and I don't think it works when combined: imgur.com/a/Nu4f7ul. It does have some nice elements, like the really aggressive angular look and the arms being able to point straight down. However, I feel that the head is placed too low and the arms set too high. Speaking of the arms, in that configuration, the shoulders are connected by only one hinge. The hinge is loose and can't support any side-to-side motion without flopping around and the forwards-and-back movement is limited thanks to Scavenger's wheel struts getting in the way of the shoulders. But I definitely agree that they did a great job of allowing people to experiment and come up with their own unique combinations!

Actar Raikit Actually the shoulders support the weight well enough so that he can balance on just his arms. Everything else you covered was accurate though. The head does sit a bit too low and the arms are a tad too high. It just works for me for some reason though. And that’s the beauty of it really. The complexity of the figure allows everyone to make a Devastator that works for them. And I don’t know I really just like that.

All that really needs to be done is just bending them forwards more. Then again, it's about all that can be done given how Overload's arms need to be to keep the claws out of the way.

It barely works on mine the head keeps falling off when i put overloads feat below mixmaster all it helped with was cause a crack in one of mixmaster's tab slots

That doesn't make sense, though. None of the parts are under any kind of strain if you follow the directions. Did you remember to push Scavenger's panels all the way back flat up against the wheels on the back?

It's confirmed. But like $500 for the box set IIRC, which is way too much considering it's cheaper going piecemeal. (aftermarket markup notwithstanding)

Combiner Wars Devastator riding on Studio Series Devastator... Perfect. Now, in place of those, er-hem, wrecking balls in an unfortunate place, I think they are filled in with the optional Rampage stand, and it still seems... phallic, for lack of a better word. Please don't make me think of a box set with those things. I just want SS Skids and Mudflap.

I just stow the stand in Rampage's foot. Angle the head up above where the thumb claws hook together and swing the inner claws up and over rather than down flat. With the folding part of the stand facing forward, (and folded) you hardly even notice it's there. Also leaves room for any stand with a 3mm peg strong enough to hold up this beast. (maybe MP Dinobot or Blackarachnia's stand. Still wouldn't have him in mid air on a stand)
