I went on the Universal Studios tour in 1980 when I was 17 years old. It wasn't anywhere nearly as elaborate as this one. Back then, we saw stuff like the "Brady Bunch" and "Munsters" houses and saw how they filmed the strength scenes for the "Six-Million Dollar Man." The highlight of that tour was having the shark from "Jaws" jump out at the tram. That was basically it. What a difference today's tour is!

Guys, it’s not that the studio tour changed, it just depends on the tour guide. For example, the tour guide in this video was pretty boring, but when I went for my birthday I had the best, funniest tour guide. So it’s so not the fault of the Universal Studios. They haven’t changed it much in years.

Something about this tour guide rubs me the wrong way. She seems unsure of everything she's saying. She even mentions things she's going to point out and later doesn't at 13:10 like the green screen in Little Europe (the tram later doesn't pass that) and the Falls Lake backdrop, which rarely gets mentioned because of F&F, though she maybe could have mentioned it when they were killing time before entering F&F. She needs to work on her time-fillers. Credit to her for calling out guests not seated properly.

There are two Universal Studios. One in Hollywood, CA and another one in Orlando, FL. The one in this video is in Universal Studios Hollywood.

The one in LA is the actually working movie studio, smaller theme park space but offers better filmic know how and history. The orlando one is just the unviersal brand and soley theme park. ive been both parks several times, orlando has the luxury of more acres of land. but Hollywood will always be my spiritual home. Im from liverpool UK and used to visit LA each year, but been a while now, 4 years :(

Andre Wallace I totally agree with you. If they take away Earthquake, I'll cry for a whole day. I love that ride so much, despite being old it still has awesome effects such as the collapsing ceiling with the falling propane tanker truck. King Kong seemed way better back in 04 than now with 3D. But they're either lazy or just want to save money.

Sektor- Lk9T9 I remember as we passed the sets & stages there was less hype built up around it (video screens showing movie clips & NO Jimmy Fallon!) and instead use our imaginations from what the tour guides told us per each set used in certain movies & tv, without the need to visually show us. I know, sounds old fashion, but it made the experience more unique.

done loads of these tours since 2006, watched loads of videos as well, but this one guys the tram noise is really!! really loud! i think one area you guys might raise for improvement is more sound friendly trams? if can be done, go for it! my spiritual home is universal, havent been since 2012 and thats already too long! I hope to work out there one day, im a camera trainee here in the uk now, once i work my way up, its my dream to work on a film for universal on the backlot!
