Studio Update From Amsterdam!

Yes, we're back with some new videos from my studio in Amsterdam. I'm back and forth between here and Los Angeles these days, so I thought I'd show you around very quickly.

One question came to mind when you talked about the summing rack: do you take the time to set up all the routing yourself or do you have assistants to do that? I myself love working out this stuff and setting up a studio, with all the routing and cable management. But it also takes up a LOT of time and I assume you have other things to do.

My father had a 4 track TASCAM recorder, very similar to the one you have there. Pretty much how I began to love and learned as a little kid to make music. Hope we get to see a bit more about your own custom build units as well. Very cool. By the way, love your new setup and happy to see you back on your channel again!

This is so exciting! Tom, thank you for such a wonderful resource! I’ve made my own scores for 15 years for my own shorts on this channel, from midi, loop-based samples and some live recording. I have waited so long to find a learning resource from a legend on scoring, and I just learned about Studio Time listening to your interview on Score: The Podcast from 2018 and I immediately came to check it all out!
