The "generative". Hard to evoke that realization in a culture that predominantly values finished product. There is a fine line between evoking or enabling gestalt shifts in interpretations, and annoying the viewer with ambiguity or forms that don't hang together tightly. Creating an image that is decoratively appealing, is fun to look at, serves to bind the viewer to the work, extending time and freeing imagination to interact with the work. Sze's work is fun to look at.
