Staffordshire Terrier completely agree. “Better” as an indicator for the quality of production, and hopefully that they continue making them more frequently

Thank goodness for companies and organizations like Criterion who recognize and support the work of illustrators and traditional artists. Illustration is too often ignored as a viable option for branding and design projects. It’s nice to see it still exists in certain corners, but we could all benefit from more of this kind of art.

After watching a few of these criterion videos, I’ve noticed a lot of the artists seem to be based in New York City. I’m a visual artist living in the Midwest, and I am wondering if moving to NYC, or some other big city, is beneficial for opportunities or if I just need to plug away on creating a portfolio site.

Like everything else, it's more about who you know, and in NY you can hobnob your way to jobs.
