I hope Barbara sees this because I think it might be a good solution for her. She could also put the packaging inside the folder with the stencil and have everything in one place. I am afraid what she is using is taking a lot more space then needed and it has a huge potential to tip over seeing jewelry is much lighter than stencils.

Barbara, you can put more then one stencil on the binder clips (the black ones) and use their clip to stay on the jewelry hook. ❤

As a small craft business owner myself, I love watching packaging videos. Thanks for sharing that - definitely some inspiration in it for me, too. I particularly like that you are reusing packaging. Btw, you can get those pesky address labels off the Amazon packaging pretty easily. Just warm up the label with your heat gun. Works a treat (but sometimes leaves the glue residue. However, you can „reuse“ that too, by sticking *your* address label on the same spot.) Happy St Patrick‘s Day aus Dublin!

The jewelry stand is a great idea. It’s much like the concept of my lampshades I use to organize items. When I originally bought them I found floor lamps with big shades at thrift stores and because they were floor lamps I could easily suspend longer items. My new art room is small and I didn’t want to take up floor space hence the hanging them from the ceiling idea was born. I have no clue how to organize the packaging and see your struggles made me glad I don’t need to keep mine 😂. Thanks for always giving us inspiration!! 💜💜

This is a great solution! I don't have nearly as many stencils as you and I can't imagine how much time it took you to research and find solutions to your storage issues. I love your studio! Barbara, how about glueing a tab onto your stencils then punching a hole onto the tab and then put the ring around it and hanging it that way? Just a thought that may work. 😅 Anyway, love your idea with the jewelry holder.

Lol 😂 You’re so cute. Making your packaging pretty is actually more likely to get less attention from customs, because the people trying to smuggle stuff try to make it inconspicuous. I think it was Nina Ribena who used gesso & some acrylic paint to make Amazon envelopes beautiful.

What a great idea! I do see wall space above the glass table. Maybe you'd consider a thin shelf for your small boxes you have sitting on the table. Going up has worked for me and it's good real estate. Thank you for sharing!

This was such a sweet video. Your gratefulness is so endearing, I had to smile at the end! Maybe clip number off packaging and paper clip to stencil, colour code according to maker. Once you are done with your stencil, paper clip it again. Love the used and a bit worn "Barbara" book. Yes, use your washi tape! I'm guilty as well but I have washi stickers I use often! You could consider taking the rod of the stand to a hardware store and have them cut you a longer rod and cut a tread for the bots that attach it. You can also consider a little bigger diameter, in order to illimenate the wobble. My husband build me something similar, so I'm sure some one would be able to do it for you.

Glueing cardstock tabs or plastic tabs removed from other packaging on one side at the top of the stencils & putting a hole in the tab would work. Or just put a loop of lace or ribbon through those stencils. As long as it’s not too delicate & you sandwich it between more sturdy ones to keep it flat while hanging, it should be fine. Great idea with the rotating hanging stand though! You can keep a fine piece of fabric as a cover over the stand if you’re concerned about dust too (dust is the bane of my existence! Sorry, I probably just made you start thinking about dust 🫣). If you need more space, you can also buy metal rings from craft shops or a thrifted lampshade (remove the fabric/paper) & add clips or hooks to hang them & then you could add a hook to your ceiling to hang it from. Add some pretty lights or leaves & flowers around the ring to make it a decorative feature too 😁 Love the idea sharing

Hi Barbara, loved your product packaging and of course your new stand for your masks and stencils. Hey, if it continues to be wobbly, you may want to place a washer at the top between the carousel and the top cap screw. That should stabilize it for you.

@@49dragonfliesWhile I’m guessing you have some washers in your rusted items collections & probably among any other metal bits stash you have, anyone who is remotely handy usually has a stash of them at hand. If you have to buy some though, try the split ring washers whose ends are at an angle, or rubber washers as they can stabilise a rocky nut a bit more.

I think the jewelry stand is a great idea for hanging your stencils. It's sturdier than I thought it would be - I worried it might tip over if the weight wasn't equally distributed. I wonder, could you get a piece of threaded rod from a hardware store to make it taller? But might that make it less stable? A weird idea that crossed my mind - could you use just the top piece and hang it from the ceiling to save desk/table space? Or maybe hang it from an angle bracket on the wall?

I have a white rack like that. I bought mine at Hobby Lobby or Michael's years ago. You might consider using magnetic hooks on the side of your metal bookcase to store your larger stencils. If your bookcase is wood, you could use command strips to apply your hooks. I have my largest stencils in a 12" x 12" Colorful Binder. Looking great, Barbara! ~Terri 😊

Hang the stencils by brand and attach one piece of packaging by each ring. Write the name or number of each stencil on the back of the packaging. That way info is handy right withbthe stencil.

Those address stickers come off if you heat them up with a ‘warm’ iron and a piece of baking paper between it and your iron. And I know there’s a way to make it taller, I just can’t think of how at the moment. Someone at the hardware store will know, I’m sure.

I'm only halfway through this video, so please excuse me if you answer this later in the video...instead of bulldog clips, you could use just a paper clip on the ones with no holes. Also, on the longer stencils you could try to hang them horizontal and put rings on opposing ends. It would go across the entire hanger but you would still be able to rotate it. Hey Barbara, das ist wieder so ein schönes Video. Es ist immer toll, dir so beim Werkeln und Organisieren über die Schulter zu schauen! Ich hab überlegt, ob du vielleicht einfach den Binder-Ring mit den ganz großes Schablonen direkt an den großen Ring oben vom Ständer hängen kannst, nicht an einen der Haken? Dann hast du noch ein paar Zentimeter mehr Platz nach unten (bei 20:46) Ist auf jeden Fall eine tolle Idee! Ich habe meine Schablonen auch alle in einem Ordner - ich hab zum Glück keine so ganz großen, da geht das recht gut :)

The Little scale with the white scale devision is actually very accurate, you can adjust the weight by turning the Little screws in the feet The scale was used to weigh letters!

Ahhhh washi tape. Now there’s a video that needs doing Barbara, as you’re not alone in having a washi stash waiting for… crafting at the end of the world? 🤷‍♀️ 🤣😆😂 I had so many plans to use it all & … I’ve used about 1/3 of a roll of a pattern I don’t like as masking & to hold cardstock down for die cuts 🤦‍♀️🫣🤭

For my large stencils, I took a cardboard magazine holder and cut out most of the shorter narrow side (the side that faces out when the holder is on a shelf.) It's not a perfect solution but it works for the big stencils I have. The smaller stencils are in a binder because I prefer to keep the packaging with the stencil. Have you considered utilizing the side of the table/cabinet that the Frieda doll sits? Do you think a removable hook like a 3M Command Hook would be safe to use on it? You could then hang the large stencils from the hooks using the binder rings.

You might be able fixing the wobbliness of the turning stand by inserting some paper between the cup and the poll to stabilize it, no? I was curious what else rotating is there on amazon that can be useful for craft supplies. I found all sorts of purse and belt hangers that might work for me if I move my stencils to the closet in my craft room. Thanks!

I think you put it together wrong. It doesn't seem like the nut should be visible on the base. Maybe that's why it's wonky? Just a suggestion😊
