✎✐✎ ART CLUB ✎✐✎ I've just started my monthly art club on Ko-fi! Find out more and join us here: www.ko-fi.com/natashanewton Let's have a walk around the garden in the autumn sunshine while I tell you a little about our somewhat unusual home, a beautiful Victorian country house in the Surrey Hills that is currently being extensively renovated and restored by my fiancé Dominic and his family. My studio is on the top floor of the house, overlooking the North Downs. Come inside where we'll have a chat and you can see what I've been up to recently (and what a state the studio is currently in!).

Stunning home. What an amazing place to have an art studio. If only walls could talk...I think I listen to too many paranormal podcast. Love your art and love your color palette.

Well, it's funny you should mention that! We've had numerous paranormal experiences here. I'm so pleased that you love my art, thank you!

Can’t wait to see more of your art and more studio/home tours and maybe a ghost story vlog. 😜. Thanks

So this was one of the very first videos I watched on your channel. Then I've been starting from the very first video and trying to work chronologically to the most recent videos. I'm watching this studio one again and I feel like it's such a different vibe now that I've seen your progress the entire year. Thanks for uploading and sharing your process and work on KZbin. I really appreciate it.

That's really interesting - how does it feel different? I think I know in which way the channel has gradually evolved and changed, but it's always interesting to hear another person's thoughts. :)

Your garden seems huge, that is so nice and must be really inspiring. And I love the green details on your home :)

Thanks Nina, I think the grounds of the house are about 6 acres in total. It's been so good to have space like this for walks during lockdown when we were isolating. So thankful for it! I'm always inspired by the trees in the garden. :)

Hi Natasha! I’ve just discovered your channel and I am really enjoying seeing all your different works in progress! I haven’t really got the space to have several pieces going on at the same time but I love the idea! Take care 😊

Hi Sarah! Thanks for watching - I'm so pleased that you're enjoying the videos and seeing a little bit of the 'behind the scenes' works in progress! I'm so thankful to have a larger studio space than the one I had before (although it was a lovely, cosy little room!). It does make it easier to work on several paintings at once, which is my preferred way of working. :)

That was nice to spend the afternoon in your studio and see soo many pieces in progress. I especially got excited when I saw the map!

Thanks Mel! The map needs a LOT doing to it! But I have some ideas for this series. ;)

Lovely Vlog Natasha, your studio is so ‘you’, it dawned on me when I saw the dark wall, that it looks like one of your beautiful paintings. Do you ever have the urge to paint some green hills with a little cottage and smoke coming out of the chimney on the wall? Xx

Thanks Carly! I hadn't before but I do now...! ;) xx

Your artwork, studio, house and grounds are all so lovely!! Would you be able to share where you got the cream trunk you store the magazines you have been featured in? Love it!

Thanks Kate! It came from La Redoute and I love it. If you can't find them there anymore, I know that Habitat do them too, as I bought a beautiful greyish-blue one with copper handles/clasps from there just a few months ago. They had a variety of colours, I seem to remember!

Gorgeous! So inspirational all around. How do you deal with not becoming attached to your work. I’ve created pieces that I don’t want to part with, which is crazy I know 🤣
@NatashaNewtonArt2 жыл бұрын
It's hard sometimes! But I do create them with the knowledge that they will be sold...although some I really do want to keep. :)

Wow, your painting sounds like a huge piece! I hope it's not too much hard work (I remember that you said it was a bit of a strain in a previous comment the other day). Dominic and I are both doing well, thank you! At the moment, business is going very well, despite the current Covid situation, which I'm quite surprised about! Take care Joffy, and have a lovely day.

I noticed when you were flipping through the magazine there was Acorn by Tugboat Prints!! I have the exact same one! Is it your print or part of the magazine?
@NatashaNewtonArt4 жыл бұрын
It's part of the magazine! Such a beautiful piece of artwork. :)
