@@StudioBinder i'd say why write at all if you aren't interested in telling a story and giving your characters a platform to live on "how do i write interesting characters" shouldn't even be a question one asks rather the characters burst out of us and maybe other people won't praise your characters --- that doesn't matter, the point is they are bursting to get out of you and you need to write them living in scenes and scenarios Ed Wood could not wait to see his characters come to life on screen M Night Shyamalan has made a career out of earnest character driven narratives Cameron has told all his stories because he wanted to and he believed they had the potential to resonate, even if they'd end up failures stories from Wood, Shyamalan, and Cameron get to live on whereas stories by people too worried about perception don't get to live at all because they never get told
