Nice, got my first Cyrus 1, Rega Planner 2 and Monitor Audio speakers when I was 16 years old, 1986, that was when it all started for me 😄

Recently I nearly traded up my Cyrus CDi and PSXR2 for a CDt XR and PSU XR! Certainly glad I didn’t with the release of this 40 series! I will wait until a CDt is added to the new 40 series! Some people who went to the XR are now gutted with this release!

I love Cyrus, but none of the stuff that I had lasted, and overtime the gear went, pop, I used my Yamaha as a back-up. The same could be said of the three Arcam amps, I've had ... the Yamaha has survived all of them!

@@PINKFL0YD-s2h It's not good when your £x,xxx British Amp doesn't last 18 months, but your Yamaha is still going strong after 15 years of hard use at home, in the wood shop testing DIY speaker builds, or bouncing around in the car, being transported to my parents for the weekend because their system s**ks ...

I had a Cyrus cd player years back but reliabilty was an issue so I sold it, just bought a classic cd transport new at a good price, just hope it lasts the course. These new unit are pricey, so I would rather spend my cash on a more reliable brand like Naim or Rega.

It's a strange world, I've had multiple broken Naim CD players and no broken Cyrus units, I suppose we all have our own experiences that develop our opinions.

That is a nice new look. I have Cy. PSXR2 and a power apm very robust and classic. I was thinking what will be the next upgrade. I have seen the upgraded version with the touch screen? That is a bit of sensitive feature.and the glass must be crystals. what kind of a Usb analogy connector it has? Can my older deck be upgraded in to this USB I am wondering. I find a problem with my amps and the interconnecting cables and power connecting cables. They do not fit firmly and part of the cable head is seating out. I used to put a Jack with card board ( like try-Poding support to the plug as it is bulky and heavy. My amp is not on a rack. but on a table top. so the cable is protruding out connect ed with the pins to the female part on the amp. So this will make the cable loose and slip out with a slight movement of the deck. I can see the same cable connectors in this all Cyrus.

I like Cyrus but it really annoys me that they stick a DAC in everything. Why do they do this? What’s the point in having a DAC in the amplifier and cd player as well as the streamer? I get that the amp can be linked to the TV but this feature could have been done via the streamer, so why have a DAC in the amp.

Having a DAC I. The Amp is important for eARC
