I know that everyone is obsessing over the story but can we take a minute to appreciate the music?? When I listen to the beginning, I was surprised because it took a turn when cherry said “I’m using your shirt as a pillow case” and when the next like came up, realization suddenly hits. The electronic keyboard crescendoing captures the perfect feeling of a rush when you have a crush. “I wanna ruin our friendship” makes it even better because many people would risk it all for one person, which is a perfect combo with the keyboard. And when cherry leans in and whispers to Jenny, I find the little confession of what she feels very real.
