I know it has been months but still want to leave a tip for learning Dutch. What a lot of people find so hard about Dutch is how it seemingly has very little concrete logical grammar structures like German or especially Russian which you can just drill into your memory. Just know that English is actually very similar to Dutch in the sense that words with the same or similar meaning/purpose are said in the same place within sentences. Just by learning the translations you will get a long way in understanding and even speaking Dutch, if you can speak English. After that place the seemingly random exceptions to that general rule become a lot easier to learn and remember. I think this is also part of the reason why Dutch people in general are so good at speaking English. There are very interesting historical reasons for this.
