if you just want to study abroad you can most definitely study at yonsei university. I don't know if the process is different for people who want to go as an exchange student but it is very possible

Hi Kelly, probably you won't see this but I wanted to reach out and ask how your time at Yonsei University was. I am thinking about studying abroad at Yonsei University and was wondering how your experience was? As someone coming from the US is it easy to make friends in Korea, how are the classes, the environment etc. Is it good to know some Korean before you go? Thank You

My experience was enjoyable! I would say the program I was in made it so that I was in an international dorm so everyone knew how to speak english one way or another. The classes were all in English. Even if I was taking classes with Yonsei students they were in classes that were primarily in English. Personally, I enjoyed the environment and it was easy to travel around to places that I wanted to go to. There are some things that require you to have a korean bank account and phone number so that is something to keep in mind. Knowing some basic korean words can help a lot, but you could always use a translator. If you are in an area that is fully of tourists more likely than not people generally speak some conversational English. Hope this helps!
