Very insightful as always. Definetly get a cat to draw, it helped me a lot. I have Jack Hamm and Ken Hultgren books on animal drawing and they complement each other very well.

I would suggest that you check out John Muir Laws's book - 'The Laws guide to nature drawing and journaling' and his KZbin channel. To the books mentioned below, I would add 'Force: Animal Drawing' by Michael D. Mattesi. I almost forgot Tim Pond's book 'The Field Guide to Drawing & Sketching Animals' that was made with Zoological Society of London. Stephanie Kilgast gave a great review on her channel about it.
