If you want to bring this to another level, I have been practicing it changing octave between each bass notes. It sounds really haunting.

@Americae_Primum Жыл бұрын
Because that's what a certain number of classical pieces are, they are "Etudes" (a study). Etudes are written as usually short pieces to teach a certain technique or skill. So yes, thats exactly what etudes (studies) are...homework asignments.

Thanks. I have no formal music training but I think I get the Emajor ( G# note)..melodic A min scale instead of natural right? But there is also the C# (not in A minor scale) on what sounds like an A7 arpeggio (bar 5). I guess it works ( sounds good) because it is a brief transition argeggio in a chord sequence to the A min argeggio.

I'm somewhat of a beginner and trying to learn music theory. If this is in A minor why are there 2 sharps? I thought A minor had zero sharps/flats. Thank you to anyone who can help me on that!
@bossshrek12412 жыл бұрын
in music theory there are 3 types of minor scales. Natural minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor Basically this piece uses harmonic minor, which is to say raising the 7th note in the scale so in a minor 7th is g so G# key signatures are whats indicated at the beginning of the score which is no sharps, in the measures there can be more accidentals, known as chromaticism.

This is not a Study as the title says. It‘s a Prelude, which by Definition is an Introduction to a Piece or Study. I would never call a Prelude a Study. It‘s like reading a newspaper and saying whats written in the titles covers the full articles. Which is wrong. But still I like this Prelude of D. Arguado played by you 👍

@olistaeuble4 жыл бұрын
@The Well Red Poet actually it's a Präludium, not a Study. But of Course it's sometimes difficult to seperate. But there are of course also Studies by D. Aguado, but they are different. I think a Study has a more complete structure, and is usually a bit longer. Maybe the editors of hal. Leonhard thought, since their is no piece for it, they can also name it a study. But honestly its a Präludium, nothing else.
