These three are the definition of a family unit. A super spy, an S tier assassin, and a 4 year old telepath. This could’ve been written as an action movie or a Steven King novel, but instead, we get a wholesome anime about being a family... and that’s why it’s better.

Is it wholesome though? The family is fake with: the “dad” caring only about his mission and using the kid for its success. the “mom” focused on fitting in to avoid suspicion of her job. the child with a traumatic past being under lots of pressure for something she’s even not old enough for (She’s obviously younger than 6 years old) The anime has nice moments, but doesn’t change how wrong the scenario seems. I’m open to hearing other views though

Obviously it's a mock family but they'll get to know each other better plus Loid has made a few decisions that favored them over his mission & slightly emotionally. The same might happen to Yor as well but of course there's going to be setbacks as it's a delicate balancing act the three of them have to perform both together & apart without revealing themselves.

Anya is actually very smart for her age. She told Loyd that she was 6 when he adopted her because he needed a 6 year old to enroll in the school, but she is probably like 4 or 5. Even though she is still young though, she is able to read and write at levels beyond what is average for her age, as we saw in the first episode when she was able to write down all of the answers to the crossword that she could hear from Loyd's thoughts. Plus the school is teaching advanced levels of math as well. Normally american children would learn fractions at 9 years old, but this school is teaching it at 6 years old, and Anya is not even 6 yet.
