Love your videos! I am in a 5 year program and am entering the didactic phase in the fall, so I have been following you for tips. I have used quizlet all of college and it is mostly free! You only have to pay to use certain features such as adding pictures

Thank you so much! And thank you for that insight on quizlet ☺️

1. Study with a friend. (Helps with staying motivated by quizzing and talking through concepts) 2. Find a study method that works for you (what you did in college might not work for PA school) 3. Change your study environment (stay away from your bed) 4. Schedule breaks (set an alarm to study for a segment of time and then take a break) 5. Noise canceling headphones

HELP HERE! any advice for someone that forgets some material of a class after they pass it? like a semester or more. my biggest fear entering this career is forgetting every single disease, condition, illness everything! like what do you do if you done dermatology for so long but then switched to pediatrics? do you forget all the diseases, illness, conditions for this specialty? or how can you not forget?
@itsKendraLynne4 жыл бұрын
Wow! That was definitely my problem in school. I had a really good short term memory and would literally nail it on tests, but then forget everything like the next day. I think I'lll make a video out of this. Great topic!

Your vids are sooo helpful! 😩 I’ve been thinking of becoming a physician assistant and unlike you, I hate being around surgery operations. I was wondering if I can be a PA in orthopedics without being around surgery?
@itsKendraLynne5 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for watching!! I’ve seen positions for for just outpatient ortho. Meaning, no doing surgery 😁

Kendra Lynne Do you happen to know if they’re still surrounded by the surgery environment? I really don’t wanna be around surgery 😂
@itsKendraLynne5 жыл бұрын
@@Ronaghinor Not sure what you mean by "surgery environment", but they probably see post-ops

Hey Kendra! Did you do any volunteer work before applying to PA school? You might have talked about this in your other video which I watched but i don’t remember hearing anything so I just wanted to know if you think this is absolutely necessary! Thank you love! Love your videos!
@itsKendraLynne5 жыл бұрын
Hey! No I didn’t do any volunteer work, but that would’ve been a great addition! Thank you so much for watching ☺️

Before going into PA school, what would you recommend getting a head start on? For example, would u recommend reviewing anatomy and physiology concepts? Or certain biology processes like the electron transport system or something like that?
@itsKendraLynne4 жыл бұрын
If you already got accepted I would say just take a break and relax because you won’t get many chances while in school. You’ll re-learn and learn everything once you start ☺️

How has your social life been since becoming a PA, and what was it like while in PA school? Did you have any personal time to hang with friends or family ?
@itsKendraLynne5 жыл бұрын
My social life is pretty normal now I would say lol. I’m a home body during the week. During school, my social life was a little less bc I was studying all the time. But I always studied with friends in my class 🤣

Is the grading curriculum different for PA school? I’m sure it differs for school but for example, like anything under an 80 would be failing? Or is it the same A, B, C etc. type of grading?
@kkkaatttiieee5 жыл бұрын
KellyAnn Plahs at my school, under an 80 is failing an exam. some schools is a 70 though. it’s not as bad as you think and you have a couple chances to retake an exam if you need to!

Hi! I got accepted into PA school and starting next year. Anyway, what laptop would you recommend. I know our program uses examsoft. I can’t decide between Surface pro 7 and new iPAD pro.
