Perfect! The anterior belly is innervated by the mandibular division (V3) of the trigeminal (CN V) via the mylohyoid nerve and the posterior belly is innervated by the facial nerve (CN VII)

I guess lat pterygoid depresses the mandible and hence opens the jaw. All other 3 muscles elevates mandible and hence closes the jaw. Please correct me if i am wrong

I am sorry, but I have to ask this, wont lateral pterygoid open the jaw instead of opening? as explained in video, the three muscles that causes jaw elevation are masseter, temporalis and med pterygoid, isnt jaw elevation is like jaw closing? so how can jaw closing be done by lateral pterygoid? or its jaw opening? sorry I am just confused, could someone explain me please?
