i’m glad they motivate you!🫶🏽 i don’t really use a study timer app, i have flora but i don’t really use it. i don’t track how often i study either. i prefer using the default clock app and then setting a timer in there, but that’s the most i do.🤍

Hii Love your vlogs especially since i am also a CS student, I'm curious about your choice to use Windows for programming, as I usually see many programmers opting for macOS?

i also prefer macOS to code as it’s my main laptop, but my professor strictly uses windows and will not accommodate macOS students🥲 so i had to pull out my old laptop to be able to code. he has us use netbeans for java (i used intellij prior) and vs code for c#.

great question! so i would start by taking note of what times throughout the day you are most productive. for me that’s in the morning and evenings. so i schedule my study sessions during that time. after a while, you can start scheduling your study sessions during the afternoon and only take on easier tasks like light note taking, completing a discussion post, etc. i hope this helps and lmk of any questions🤍✨

in terms of how long to study for, i would set a stop watch and tine myself to see how long i can study for. do this for a day and you’ll see your average study time. mine is 1.5 to 2 hours.

(it's long so brace yourself😭) I definitely know that feeling. my first plan of action is to identify why I've lost motivation. usually, it's bc of burnout and procrastination. identifying why I feel this way helps me prevent this feeling in the future. - then, I figure out my purpose for studying. in your instance, it's to be a doctor. really come up with reasons and goals you wish to accomplish to remind yourself why you're doing what you do. - next, I'd slowly get back into studying. I start with 20-30 minute study sessions completing the EASIEST task on my agenda. doing the easier work helps me not feel stressed and I start to enjoy studying. it also allows me to complete more which, more work done = feeling accomplished. also, take breaks. I take a break after every study session just so I can give my brain a moment to recollect my thoughts to prepare for the next study session. - lastly, celebrate the small victories. your study goals aren't going to be like everyone else. do not compare your journey to your classmates or even studytubers. if you successfully complete a study session of 30 minutes, celebrate! reward yourself, bc it's getting you closer to YOUR dream and that's what matters. next thing you know, you'll be in college doing insanely well and you can look back on this moment and appreciate how much you've grown and the journey it took to get there.
