I'm taking my final medical exams in 1.5 months. So far, I've had trouble believing in myself and therefore being consistent in my studying (1 month). I'll be documenting here the improvement in my consistency to study every day (except for one day/half day break per week) by playing this video in the background. Edit Day 1: managed to focus for 3h30 a boost in my motivation, I did a 2h session + a 1h30 session. It was encouraging and satisfying, but I'd like to be able to study more hours a day. Day 2: managed to focus for 3h worked 1h30 + 1h30, I had to move some things into my new apartment, so I didn't manage to work any more. I've set myself the goal of working 7 hours a day from now on! Day 3: managed to focus for 6h soooo happy cuz i managed to focus during 6hours! my energy is getting good (nb: doing 20min fitness exercises every morning before studying gets me going) Day 4: managed to focus for 40 min in the morning i needed to take time to sleep, relax, write, etc. and in the afternoon i had to go to a job interview 1h30 away, so studying clearly couldn't be a priority today! a bit stressed for tomorrow Day 5: managed to focus for 4h30 4h30 divided into 2h + 2h30, in between i took a piano lesson, i ate, i went shopping for 1-2 items on sale, i bought a new computer case because mine was broken... i feel like I'm starting to understand my pattern: i'm frustrated because "i don't have enough time to study", but at the same time, i'm devoting time to a lot of other things. soon, as james advised, i'll have to look back on my week: what helped my concentration versus what disadvantaged it. thanks again james for your motivation! Day 6: managed to focus for 5h30 yaah! it made me want to make a calendar where i can note down the days i work > 5h (thanks james for the streak tracker tip). Near future project: move to a >6h/day focus streak. Day 7 - exam's in 45 days: managed to focus for 2h not satisfied... i had to prepare an application for housing in 1 year, i ate with my family at noon, and at the end of the day i had to go and visit the housing in question. it's hopeless how difficult it is to prioritize work, tonight or tomorrow morning i'll probably try to organize the next week taking into account what i can optimize compared to this first week of tracking my progress in my focus of my exam. Day 8 - exam's in 44 days: managed to focus for 1h30 + improvements for next week what went well this week: deep and easily reached focus. what went not well this week: consistency and dedication of my time to studying. what i'm improving for next week: i've made myself a schedule on paper for each day, organizing my life around revisions, not the other way around. i hope it pays off!

I'm studying for university entrance exam in June 2025, and decided to put entries here because it's my favorite video. (PS: I don't just study with this video.) age: 17 goal: physics First Entry: 18.07.2024 Tue Couldn't finish, only 2.30 hours but 6.30 hours total for today. I got bored while studying grammar. Second Entry: 10.08.2024 Wed Need to do a lot of work. Third Entry: 15.08.2024 Mon Starting studying after one week of rest. I hope I can finish all work in 4 hours. Fourth Entry: 24.09.2024 Tue It's been a very long time since my last entry. School and course has started and I'm out of home seven days of week. I didn't really have the time to come and study with James but I'm lack of motivation nowadays, so I'm here. It's 8 pm right now, I sleep at 10.30 pm so I will study like 2 hours.
