I feel you and can relate to your seasonal depression. After living 8 years in a warm blue sky sunshine every day place on the Earth, I moved back home to Belgium where the sky is grey and it rains most days... it was so hard on my mental health. Good on you for pulling through!!! Also, amazing on the studio apartment!

thank you so much!! seasonal depression is tough as it's often difficult to escape once you're in it. hoping things are better for you now 🤍🤍

As always, just want to thank you again Tia for being so open with your mental health in your videos. My half sister had seasonal depression so I completely believe that the winter there would have been a big factor in your recent struggles, along with everything else! I love seeing how you light up when you talk about your classes this semester. I’m so glad you’re doing subjects that you’re truly enjoying. That history assignment sounds really interesting. Living off campus later this year sounds like a super exciting change - can’t wait to see how you make it your own. I’m so glad you’re getting to spend time back home with family over this uni break. I know how much they mean to you. Keep on keeping on! 💜

@@donaldrichards3373 the stigma around mental health is slowing disappearing, but comments like this only serve to exacerbate it. One day this old-school mentality of keeping mental illness a secret will be a thing of the past. I don’t know of any jobs where a mental health history would automatically preclude you from employment as long as you are well-managed and have a good support system. Lying about having no mental health concerns and then having them come to light later on is probably more of an issue than being upfront in the first place. As a student paramedic about to go through recruitment for multiple services, mental health history is something they take very seriously, but only in terms of making sure you are supported and in a good place mentally to be able to meet the demands of the role.

thank you so much Emily, reading this comment and feeling your support means a lot to me ❤️❤️ seasonal depression truly is a difficult one. I'm grateful to be taking classes that are making me fall in love with learning! It's an amazing opportunity. very excited to be living off campus next year!! I'm hoping it will work well for me, and I have a few friends moving off as well now so I won't be the only one not on campus. definitely looking forward to seeing my family, I'm counting down the days! hope everything on your side of the world is going well xxx

@@TiaChitty so glad you’ve got classes you’re enjoying! Awesome that you’ve got some friends moving off campus too - that’ll hopefully make the transition a bit easier for you 🤞🏼. Bet your family is keen to spend some time with you again too! All going ok in my neck of the woods 💜

In the UK, we get months without feeling warmth of the sun on our backs. The past few weeks it has been sunny and lovely to go outside without a jacket. The first time the warmth of the sun hits your back is incredible. Thanks for your vlogs.

💕💕 Listening to you talk about your History assessment makes my heart so happy. I wish I could read it. I am so passionate about teaching the next generation about the shared history of Australia and making sure our First Nations people are more respected in regards to their history and treatment in the ‘settlement’ of Australia.

I love that your focusing on First Nations voices! i suggest reading 'Dark Emu', it gives great insight into how advanced Indigenous Australians are and their lives during invasion.
@anikakoller88092 жыл бұрын
@@donaldrichards3373 Just for reference, when referring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people you should use the previous term or First Nation Australians and not 'aborigines'. In many ways America and Australia are similar in our history. Eg, being colonised by the British and then committing and continuing to comit mass genocide on the respective Indigenous custodians.
@anikakoller88092 жыл бұрын
@@donaldrichards3373 Manifest Destiny sounds disturbingly like trying to justify colonising other countries. It also says a lot about the morals and values of your country as a whole (if the shoe fits). I am Swiss Australian, Yes. Australia has been draining the resources out of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands for decades and has done nothing to help their countries in return. I think their decision to take a deal from China is therefore understandable and if it's what they believe is best for them, then they should take it. In regards to you thinking they will invade Australia, it's quite presumptuous and paranoid and its people like you that people use to justify spending 30% of your nations tax on defense (Its fucking ridiculous, help those in need instead). And if they do invade Aus I'm sure your country will have to come fight for us as we do for you when you invade the Middle East like colonisers.
