That’s right, It depends on region, for example west Ukraine speaks only Ukrainian and on the other hand east Ukraine speaks mostly Russian. But Ukrainian is still our official language and all the paper work is on Ukrainian. About 54 % of Ukraine speaks Ukrainian language, and about 87 % are bilingual Thanks for the video 🌙💫

People have got this idea that ukrainians don't speak UKRAINIAN, just cause we can switch to Russian if it's needed and a lot of us are bilingual by default. But even this bilingualism we've got with force during soviet and not only times. I used Russian for the first time when I was 19, before I never had used it and all people around me don't speak Russian too. It is quite annoying when the first thing people ask a lot after knowing you're a Ukrainian is if you speak Russian. I'd even say that it hurts sometimes. And good luck with learning the language, we'll keep track of your progress :)

I've also started to learn Chinese (Mandarin), Korean and I'm also doing Arabic! But these are mostly as a hobby. In school also did Irish English and French (English is my second language). Then there's my native language, Urdu. 😊 I enjoy learning languages by myself and at my own pace, not being pressured by exams and deadlines.

I’m learning multiple languages at once too and i’m so glad i found your channel. ppl always give me shit asking why i’m learning so many and doubting me but i love it so much, i don’t see myself doing anything else 🥹 good luck to everyone who is pursuing their learning journey, u got this! use methods that work for YOU. not every method will work but that’s normal too. you can do anything if u put your mind to it,, also u have many ways to make studying fun so u can stay engaged and motivated. don’t get caught up with those channels that tell u to study all those crazy hours a day, you’ll burn out faster and become less interested, and most importantly, patience is key, there is no “faster” way to learn, go at your pace and you’ll feel much better & confident in your progress & will want to learn more! Also a lot of natives have told me that even they still make mistakes when it comes to reading or writing, so try not to be hard on yourself.

Really good points at the beginning about studying numerous languages. There have actually been many studies that have shown that for people who speak more than one language and/or have learned a second language, their third, fourth, etc languages are much easier to learn and absorb. This is why people like you and other polyglots learn additional languages that much smoother.
