I can speak 4 languages: English, Tagalog, Mandarin, and Hokkien, YET none of my vocab for them is good enough haha. I deeply regret not taking Chinese classes seriously SOOOO my way to do this is having Chinese voice over while playing Genshin Impact and watching Chinese dramas. I do pick up some words here and there and man, it feels so damn good to know that I can understand some words haha

From this humble little (adjunct) college professor, TY 👩‍🏫 ty for taking your notes and trying your hardest to stay connected and active during this maybe (hopefully) last round of Zoom uni... it's been tough on all of us. Burnout is real and you should absolutely normalize naps, breaks, comfort, selfcare! And YES! I'm mixed and also had some selfhatred growing up. I didn't want to learn Spanish, nor could my mother properly teach it to my brothers and I. As a result, we only speak 1 language while half of our family have like 2-3 languages down... it's not a good feeling to be so disconnected verbally to your heritage 😔 But you're young and reconnecting during this season of your life. You'll get there 🤗 love these study vids sooooo much 🙃
