Vedas include everything from richulistic portion and philosophy but vedanta is Upanishads Bhagwat Gita, and bramhasutras which are प्रस्थानत्रय Upanishads are most imp litrature found scaterd in Vedas आचार्य शंकर seperated upanishand from Vedas and wrote commentaries on them Vedas also included कर्मकांड vedant only concern with ज्ञानकांड and excluded the dogmas and richuels Biggest contribution of vedanta is in the field of consciousness studies study more about it if you are intrested वेद+अंत= देवांत litraly most important portion of indian litrature.
